Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
anzo replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
Jesus, how old is your girlfriend, 12? -
If she's too old to crack a smile or even slightly acknowledge the GB Team she should step down. This was broadcast pretty much all over the world, other Royals/Officially waved at their teams but she sat playing with her nails with a face like thunder; what a shame!

Freddy Got Fingered

Yeah I saw that and wondered what the hell it was all about. Especially when the commentators got all excited and said "Ohhh look at that!!" but the slowmo was just a horse nodding its head. Massive waste of time.
-
My only issue was the BBC. The commentators were boring, at some point one said "my little cousin is in there somewhere" - who cares? Secondly during the firework display they decided to play some f**king montage on the screen?
-
Congrats And good luck!

I know with some insurance companies if you claim within the first 6 months of the policy then you must pay 6 months worth of premium before you can claim. Therefore I think paying for a new screen would be cheaper in the long run...

I packed up about 3 years ago now, I really do miss it, especially when I drive through Nottingham and occasionally see people riding the spots I used to frequent. I ticked looking to ride again because I'm looking at purchasing another trials bike of the engine variety, which I where I started from. Although I did meet some really decent people through riding of whom I still speak to - namely Tom Booth, even if it is complete bullshit texts/quotes at 2 in the morning.

If its your first jury duty, you have to go! Although I like Homer Simpsons approach "the trick is to say your prejudice against all races".
-
Second rule of Jury Duty is you do NOT talk about Jury Duty!

Cool, my missus is currently doing a masters in Geology at Leicester uni. Don't think she knows what she wants to do afterwards though! I left school, went to college and got my NEBOSH health and safety qualifications, used it for about a month and moved into IT and never used it again. Now I work as part of a 3 man team looking after 3 manufacturing locations in the midlands and the North. I love the job and gives a massive range of skills and I really do learn something everyday. As for my future, who knows...currently I work for a massive worldwide company and we're working to merge two networks onto the corporate network which means a lot of security (both technical and physical, new fibre optic backbone, switches, servers and client pcs), once this is done we may disband and join other sections of expertise and work on various projects. That's something I seriously hope happens, then you get I do what you love all the time and all the crap jobs go to a centralised helpdesk down south

Anyone Else Having Problems Getting On Trials Forum?
anzo replied to trials_pimp's topic in Chit Chat
But JT, when was the last time you went back and read from pages 54 to 64, or 87 to 143? I agree that we should be able to have topics like this but I agree more with Tom in that these topics tend to sap the excitement out o Chit Chat. The Angry Thread for instance, I for one got really bored with the content. Surely you'd rather have a stable forum than Posts moaning about punctures and how shit their life is, yawwwn! -
You're away for a few months at a time - who will be responsible for looking after these dogs while you're away? As you may know these dogs will require a lot of training and excercise - do you live in an area where these dogs can run about and burn off some energy? I dont think trained dogs are the way forward, these must also be trained from a very young age so are your current dogs fit and young enough to do this? My personal opinion is that if you live in such an area you should probably consider moving away as your kids will be bought up in a rather nasty environment... Also, if your really serious about this then ask this question elsewhere, we ride bikes and I don't think anyone on this forum is qualified enough to give you the answer you're looking for. Fair enough you may ask the police, but they're not lawyers and probably dont know the full in's and out's.
-
I'd just ignore him, it's not your responsibility to look at the bike, it's no longer yours. If he's claiming this bullshit, you fix the bike and in a weeks time it breaks again - you could be to blame. As soon as he starts threatening police and all that I'd tell him to, politely, go f**k himself. How old is this guy? 16-18 by any chance?

Overheating maybe? Shorting out? Duff motherboard? Broken power charger/input so it cant actually charge...could be a number of things really, might be worth taking to a shop for an estimation but usually it works out cheaper to buy a new laptop, especially considering the age of it!

Is there an autorun.ini on the disc? If you open it up (notepad) it should call either the setup.exe or the other one... Is there an autorun.ini on the disc? If you open it up (notepad) it should call either the setup.exe or the other one...

Whilst I agree, you have to think this show is generally to satisfy the moronic crowd in the arena - I'm going to predict this will either turn into a sing off or a dance of by some street dance crew from an inner city, either of the finalists will probably cry poverty and lack of opportunities and how 'if I wasn't dancing I'd be out stealing cars or taking drugs'. It's good if there would be trials rider, but it wont happen; 1. Theres no money in it 2. There is NO money in it 3. Theres no expansion (what will he do on the next show?) 4. Theres no room for sandal (for example, Joe Oakley out in London on an all night crack binge....not gonna happen) 5. Point 1 & 2

Generally true, however it could be an encrypted hard drive whereby the software is on a partition, therefor it could be 100% of software partition is buggered and 97.4% of the data partition is buggered.

Use this Once upon a time you could recover it through the registry, but they've encrypted it now.

Not good at all - if you go away from DHCP how can you be sure the IP Address you're picking is not in use by another system - this will cause issues. The reason you cannot locate webpages is because when you move away from DHCP you must manually input the DNS server to allow it to resolve internet names (basically, translates google.com to 209.85.147.106) so in theory is you went to http://209.85.147.106 I assume it would bring up google because there is not name resolving going on. Skype is the same - as above, I don't use the software but I imagine it just uses a port and no name resolving is required for it. What happens if you connect with the manual IP and then go back to DHCP? Does it pick up an IP Address? Also, have you tried the linux version of 'ipconfig /release' and 'ipconfig /renew' whatever that may be?
