    Mac Users?

    1. Have you rebooted the router? 2. Are you running on Wireless (have you tired wired straight into the router?) 3. Does it always stop at 20mb? 4. Have you deleted temporary internet files (in good 'ol Windows you can set a maximum capacity, this could be similar with Mac and is likely it could be full) 5. What anti virus product do you use? Have you tried temporarily disabling this? 6. Who is your internet provider - ever have any trouble with them? Try SpeedTest.net and post the results up here. 7. Check out the logging on the router to see if anything strange is going on. I'd treat iPad2 issue seperately until you've tried the above .
  2. I only work with Windows systems so cannot really advise for MAC environments. I suppose the normal questions; What are they using for a domain controller? Where is the firewall physically located; router, Domain controller (ISA maybe), third party software? What make/model is the router (are you sure the router supports VPN - most do, but some wont!) How are you trying to authenticate through the VPN (Active Directory account, router account?) Have you checked any encryption settings on your VPN dial in settings - have you tried turning this off? Your situation is rather strange because when I have set these up we have always, always used a static IP address and not a dynamic-to-static service - perhaps this could be the issue here? Also we have servers with two NICs - one is LAN and the other is ASDL directly to the router so when we dial the VPN, it goes static IP > Router > Routed to internal IP Address > Authenticated on Domain Controller < Connection Accepted < Connected! The fact you has this working locally is not at all strange - we do this regularly to ensure that the router link is up (we plug directly into the router and dial the 'interal' VPN address - if it works, great! The VPN is up - this helps eliminate any dodgy routing/client issues. As for the client opening ports - not likely. I've never come across people having issues dialing into VPNs from home, the thing with VPNs is that they either work and you leave them, or they don't and they can be a bitch to work out why. Without more knowledge of your setup I cannot really give you much more advice other then to try and eliminate all possible causes (test on a laptop, not iphone - these could be two completely seperate issues why they don't work). Drop me a PM if you need more help - but I can't always reply quickly.
  3. It is when its £21.99 in the shops Not even some pogs?
  4. I disagree, they usually rip in my arse.

    Protein Shakes

After reading the majority of this out of bordom, I can safely conclude I'd rather be a fat f**k.
  8. We have provisionally signed this, it will not come into action until it has been passed by EU. Secondly, this is an agreement we have signed which will pose as the building blocks for regulation. Personally, I'm sick to death of this 'XXXX is a threat to the internet and all your personal rights!' Do people not realise that priacy is already a crime, websites already get shutdown for hosting copyright material? It just reopens as something else and then resumes in that cycle until someone is arrested and then someone else takes over. As you have said, the only threat, in reality, is ISP monitoring; although I think it will take a lot for ISPs to do this due to the investment and resources involed - at then end of the day ISPs provide a service, it is down to the user how they chose to use it.

  10. I'm with First Direct, just username, 3 random letters from my password and the answer a secret question - fairly straight forward really!
  11. Piracy has always been illegal...never stopped anyone, did it? YouTube is already well censored in my opinion, Facebook would be a blessing if it were to f**k off - it's just a swamp for the Internet, twitter - couldn't give a shit. As for the 'small guys' such as piratebay they could just setup another domain? Theyre only shutting domains, not servers!!
  12. Why dropbox? Only good if you have Internet access! Truecrypt.org I would recommend Go into BIOS, configuration, hard drive and change from APCI to Compatibility. May solve your problem, although usually you won't get far in the installation process if this is the issue...certainly worth a try though.
  13. Why not help the forum out too and buy an advert up top?

    Films!?

Why take advice from your bank on which films to watch?
  15. Its like Jedward having an orgy with One Direction while JLS masterbate in the corner. Tragic.
  16. But what about the amount of shit that they seem to make these days? I will probably download/stream a tv series or film, if its shit I leave it, if its good I'll go out and buy it because I like to 'own' it. Another downside of purchasing it the cost of it - obviously they need to make money but the mark up is pretty ridiculous - for example the Family Guy box set in HMV is about £150....One hundred and fifty quid for a couple of DVDs, for something that is on BBC3 every day, for something that you can stream online for f**k all and then they wonder why people download material!
  17. Got a wireless home telephone next to it? This can throw them up...however by the sound of it id just buy another, they're pretty disposable these days.
  18. Why would I want Nirvana at number one? They're alright and everything but at the end of the day Xmas number one means nothing these days, the charts are shit and pretty much dominated by Syco Productions Ltd... If anyone should be number one it should be that Army Wives choir purely because the money goes to a good charity, not directly to a massive record label. Why would I want Nirvana at number one? £280?! Wow tinitus isn't cheap these days...
  20. h Hmmm, have you considered cramming it all in a bag and flogging it online to people with a big curiosity? I prefer to steal bags from outside Charity shops. Far better goodies.
