  1. Might do this, Will see what I can do...... Adam
  2. I would also be interested in this! I am based in coventry so if youneeded a hand with things i would be more than happy to come up and lend a hand! I do not know much about insureance or anything, but have a reasonable idea about sourcing objects etc as I have build a course on my own farm at home. Tyre recyclers are a good place to start for the large quarry tyres, if they don't have any they will usualy be able to give you somewhere that will have them, they are usualy free or cost VERY little. Concrete object manufacturers are also a good place to source stuff, as they will ALWAYS have stuff that is not good enough for them to send out, the one I delt with just let the council take it, but I was able to have whatever I wanted too as they just wanted it out of the yard. Pallets and things are generaly pretty easy to source, I actualy found a massive yard near me in cov that is a couple of acres full of pallets! Obviously for other random objects scrap yards etc are a good place to look, not sure how you would go about getting hold of skips, but I am sure it is possible. And of course logs should be pretty easy to get hold of! Gimme a shout if you need a hand. Adam
  3. Last thing I heard about it was that Pete Wright had it, although that could be wrong Adam
  4. Very Impressive Alex! Always thought hoffmann had it right with that style of brake mount! all you need to do now is make some tidy little machined magura mounts that fit in there loverly! Adam
  5. Like the other guys have said, there realy is no need to get a chris king these days, I ran a rear CK hub for 6 years and it was spot on! but now I am running an echo SL freewheel and it is easily as good and ALOT cheaper, even if you do have to buy a new rear hub too! as for front hubs, any of the new hubs shown on tartybikes are generaly pretty good, Rockman BUB and Echo TR are very well priced! Headsets I would recomend an echo SL too as thats what I am running and it has been very good. Hope that helps abit. Adam
  6. I think its a Hope X2 caliper bled onto a std hope mini lever. Adam
  7. Hey dude, A few of Us are riding this weekend, head on down! My number is 07970176556 if you need it! Adam
  8. What I recon is a custom brass barrel and stick a magura 4 finger lever blade on there, mega powers then Adam
  9. Not going to be able to make this now, Sorry guys, Got house viewings all day...... Adam
  10. Might be up for this, dependant on house hunting, car hunting and bike working Adam
  11. I might well be up for this, We shall see Adam
  12. Here is a picture of my spoke tensioner: As you can see I have drilled a small hole in the axle spacer, the end of the spoke sits in this hole and then the spoke is coiled around the spacer twice and then extended down to the chain, you can see the bends I have added to the spoke so that the section that runs on the chain sits straight. Adam
  13. I know it might not be the best solution, but how about adding a full link and running a spoke tensioner? This is what the half link should look like: Adam
  14. Righty Ho guys, weather looks like it might hold out, So I should be there for around 11 Adam
  15. Hey Guys, I am moving back to the coventry area on saturday, and would like to ride cov on sunday if anyone is up for it? Say 11am outside sainsburys? Adam
  16. Our Alpaca! Just after we sheared him, think he got abit of a shock He is called Hercules Henry and Toby (Toby got re-homed though, he was not good around the animals): We currently have 3 dogs, Henry, Lilly and Holly but i can not find any pics of the others.... adam
  17. If its an Onza surely you its possible to get a half price replacement, E-mail them and see what they say Adam
  18. I was not overly convinced by the EBC reds I tried in my louise, changed back to the std magura pads, and they have been much better! Adam
  19. No, there realy are big differences between those frames, the Hifi was a horrid frame, All the old echo frames were 375mm chainstays, all new high BB frames such as the koxx, rockman etc are 380mm approximately as this is how it turns out when running the 18-15 gear ratio. It is hard to explain, but i have ridden almost all the old high BB deng frames and hated all of them, but the new breed of high BB frames are alot better. Although one difference would also be that people are now running better (Higher) front end setups (bars/stems) with the frames now, which makes a HUGE difference. Even with the high bar and stem, the deng frames are still way to rear wheel friendly, and don't seem to ride right. Adam
  20. What problems are you having with the Rockpad CNC's? I assume they have the blue compound material? These are imense pads, I have never had a problem with mine, nice sharp medium grind and make sure they are set up nice and square and they should be fine. If not, they should just pull out, when I put new re-fills in mine they came out pretty easy. Adam

All the previous high BB frames had 375mm chainstays, I think that this 5mm makes a huge difference, I found all the deng frames VERY rear wheel happy, these new comp style high BB frames with the 380mm rear end are no where near as bad and much better to ride in my oppinion. I think you don't hear much about the blue GU frames is because as far as I am aware there are not many of them about, I do not know of any off the top of my head, other than the one that Adam Read had. As for Ali C, He doesn't like anything over 40mm BB rise Adam
  22. I have been riding this frame for 4-5 months now, the previous frames l lasted me a maximum of 2 months each, and this one is still going strong, So I am sure it will deffinatly last longer! The angle between the seat stays and top tube has been reduced too, which has made a massive difference to this. Adam

Thing is you can not tell how long it would last without actualy trying one, after all I am in no way a lightweight rider (at around 19-20st!!) albeit I am a smooth, but the bike still has this huge force going through it and I run what are considered some very light components, single wall rims, 1.5kg frames etc and generaly they last be very well, the previous kortz frame didn't as the design was not quite right, but the new one is much better. Adam
  24. It does yes, BUT the original kortz, as below: Was released last spring, so has been out way before the traktor frame. Ah well, I will update all these threads with pictures of the production frame when I recieve them Adam
  25. Looks like Ross is running a booster, A TNN integrated jobby...... Adam
