  1. That's how they get you (I assume that's their aim, to 'get' people?) - they rely on your ignorance (which, as we know, is their power). As for the octopus, I'm not sure, but it definitely had some pretty big (all seeing?) eyes. Also: kinda looks like: if you half close your (all seeing) eyes. Also, the giant octopus was lit up or, if you will, illuminated. Illuminati, illuminated, Illuminati'd. Coincidence? I think not so.
  2. You saw them build that big pyramid right? The one that looked like that thing that looks like that other thing, the triangle? There's your evidence... As much as I know it's completely not what happened, I like to think the organisers saw Dave's post in here and all the other Illuminati stuff and put that pyramid in at the end just to mess with their heads.
  3. Signed back into my personal account. Need to stop doing that! Anyway... I think it's probably just interns managing the Twitter accounts though, so I'm inclined to just see the funny side. 'Coalicious' might very well be mu new most-hated (albeit made up) word.

  5. I would have been 14 or 15. I can't remember exactly when it was taken though. 'Interesting' fact: that photo was taken in the garden of a guy called William Swallow. Unfortunate.
  6. Ben asked me/us at Tribal Zine to judge the entries as well, and we're coming from a much more 'trialsy' background, which should hopefully even things out on that front. Not that I feel they'd need evening out though - everyone who's judging is professional and fair, so I'm sure there won't be any problems. Also, Phoenix Riders Co. is the company name, so the judges are Mark Westlake, Inspired Bicycles (the compnay), Phoenix Riders Co. (the company) and whoever else, not those companies' riders - wasn't sure whether you'd understood that
  7. Nice. I love seeing all these old school pictures - good times! EDIT: I've probably posted this one before, but thought I'd add it in here. Taken in about 1997/1998 if I remember rightly. That's a 22" seat tube by the way, but I couldn't backwheel it up a wall higher than about 12". Didn't make that breakthrough til I upgraded to a 14" GT Tequesta. EDIT 2: If you look closely, you'll also see that I wasn't using my brakes, way before it was fashionable.
  8. This one? http://www.tribalzine.com/?La-maquina-de-Benito
  9. I'd be more than happy to donate a few quid for mine! Looking forward to seeing them.
  10. Skye, not Sky. Not sure who he was - looked pretty good on it though! I enjoyed the video, although I will admit to skipping through some of it. 45 minutes is a monster! Some great footage in there though, really showed the atmosphere and the variety of stuff going on! Is this the official video that was being filmed, or is that still to come?
  11. David Herka Both the Dressler videos so far have been really good, looking forward to the 'proper' one!
  12. Nice. Some great lines from all of you there, really enjoyed it! Woody and I must have been there just a couple of hours before you. It was my first time riding there, so I had a lot of fun! It's a nice little loop on the docks, plenty of stuff to keep you interested for a few hours!
  13. Jack Carthy, "Beat Gilles while he’s still at his best" - After stirring up a storm at the World Cup, Jack Carthy talks to Tribal Zine about trials, his life, Aalter and his one, burning desire: to defeat the current World Champion!
  14. Fort William Day 2 - Rounds 3 & 4 of the British Trials Cup were held in Fort William a few weeks ago, alongside the UCI Downhill and 4X World Cup. Jack Carthy won both days, with a perfect trial in round 3, beating Guillaume Dunand and Dave Kerr. Following the results and podiums and our write-up of Day 1, here’s the write-up and photos from Day 2. GETcreative Video Contest - Ben Rowlands, one of the guys behind the Glasseye Trials collective, has recently launched a great new ‘freetrials’ video contest, aimed at generating creativity in trials videos, both from a riding and an editing point of view. With some fantastic prizes up for grabs form some of trials’ coolest companies, why not give it a go yourself?
  15. Forgot to sign out of the BTF account again. I shouldn't be allowed the Internet. [media=]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QpcoOTXdQbk#!
  16. There's a national there on 16 September if you fancy it?
  17. Dave, I found an old 74 Kingz tensioner and an old Shimano Alfine tensioner in my garage the other day - you're more than welcome to either of those for nowt if you'd like? Looks like you're doing fine without, just thought I'd mention it. Good job on the ghetto fix though!
  18. The deadline for pre-entries is Monday 25th. You can enter onine and pay by PayPal or downlaod and print the entry form and post it. Both options are available on the Biketrial Federation events page. You can enter on-site on the Saturday or the Sunday, but entries after the deadline are usuallu subject to a £5 late entry fee. I’m not aware of any special arrangements regarding on-site entries fot this event, so assume that the fee would apply in this case as well. Pre-entering saves us a load of last-minute admin and you a fiver, so it’s always worth doing. You’ll get a full refund if you decide not to compete before the event as well, so you may as well pre-enter! There’ll be a Biketrial Federation stand at the event on Saturday and Sunday (look for the BTF. Onza and Tribal Zine banners) and you will be able to enter there if you decide not to pre-enter. Whoop! Good lad! Competition entry isn’t included in your RadFest ticket, there’s a separate entry fee, which is explained in the firtst post of this thread and on the Biketrial Federation website. See my explanation above about how/when to enter
  19. EDIT: doesn't appear to work for me either.
  20. Fort William 2012 - Day 1 - Last weekend, rounds 3 & 4 of the British Trials Cup were held in Fort William, alongside the UCI Downhill and 4X World Cup. Jack Carthy won both days, with a perfect trial in round 3, beating Guillaume Dunand and Dave Kerr. Following the results and podiums, here’s the write-up and photos from Day 1.
  21. I didn't see that. Cool The write-up and photos from Day 1 are now up on Tribal Zine. Link.
