  1. I'd love to Robin, my last exam is Thursday so I'll have more time to be social. Will definitely pop down at some point.
  2. Yea. Uni has massively slowed progress but I've been buying and building certain bits here like front/rear hubs and wheels etc. Hoping to move to Bristol now that I've nearly finished and rent a lockup/garage to commence work again.
  3. Trying to stick to non engine conversiony things: I completed the build once and then decided I wasn't happy with the way things were done so I've stripped it completely and started again. This time with track action in mind. Some of you may have read this months Mini Magazine where I appeared in the "On The Job" section. For those that haven't read it (or if it isn't mentioned), heres a rough spec: Homemade tubular subframe F17 diesel box with cable shifter GSXR throttle bodies Megasquirt Split Exactions Yoko A032's Fully adjustable tie bars etc Ali race tank Flat boot floor Full weld in cage Fully cut out steel doors Tubbed arches Rear valance removed Mk2 escort pedal box Gaz adjustable shocks Cobra Monaco S' Parts: Shell: Custom Steering column pieces UJ's QR One Harness (prob passenger, might go for 5/6pt for driver) Blasted and sprayed my wheels at uni: Some of the old paint was real tough! Despite costing me £40 in materials, it was still cheaper than any quotes to get the professionally blasted and painted. Couple more goodies: I built up my rear hubs: With a drum: It looks like there won't be enough thread for my wheels and nuts but the studs aren't pulled through fully yet. They were just tapped in with hammer. Had some custom wheel nuts made and they came this morning: Also got a clear cambelt cover from Dan (Instant Custard) and some Supra Injectors (no photo): Also some new pieces for a sub project: Someone wanted some pics of my wheels so I may as well put them on here too: Right, bought some brakes and they sent me the wrong callipers: Sent them back and the postman brought me these this morning. Much better....
  4. I took pride in the fact that it hadn't been cut like the other super-threads have but it seems that it has now suffered the same fate. Maybe I should post some pictures of where I am now (well, all the bits that are still mini).
  5. I don't think any government will have enough money to start issuing police cars capable of outrunning GTR's (and be practical for the other things they are required to do)
  6. Been looking for a neat solution for a while now and that looks pretty good. Not that expensive considering how much some of the wiring modules you can buy are.
  7. Can't go wrong with red dot and Hi Lo's Tom, where'd you get that fusebox from?
  8. I've never tried it but I've heard a couple of others recommend it. Literally just 4 dabs around the pipe, slip the hose on, then clamp away. No harm in trying.
  9. Clean up the area and a couple dabs of superglue should do it.
  10. Head units only require a permanent live (to remember time and radio presets), a switched live (so that it turns off when you take our key out) and an earth. The rest will be outputs for speakers
  11. Yea Helicoil/WTI kits are expensive
  12. It should be relatively easy Tom. Plus you can wire everything with as many fuses and relays as you want.
  13. Not that well in his own language by the looks of it.
  14. Did a test fit of my brakes in the wheels and it's very tight. I don't know where any wheel weights are going to go if I need any. Actually, clip ons look like they'll be fine. Also those are allegro CV's. I'll get some shafts machined when the time comes.
  15. Yea Inside the foot well. That's such a shame that that has happened. What a tool for being arsey about it. Good to hear your OK (ish), at the end of the day, it's just a piece of metal.
  16. That's fair enough. I'm not going home for a couple of months yet so that's why they're not for sale yet anyway.
  17. I'll have a pretty much complete MK2 fiesta set up for sale in a couple of months. Prawn rates them very highly.
  18. Brilliant, very fun and energetic. Theres a lot of "respect" in that video too.
  19. Ignore it. I got one of those too.
  20. I haven't heard the mix yet, it's late and I need to get up in the morning but I'll say this anyway; having started out with vinyl turntables, I find the it a lot harder to beat match with cdj's. Maybe it's in my head? Anyway, I'll listen at a later date and edit this with something more constructive.
  21. Voted but christ that's a lot of spam potential if you don't read properly.
