    Happy Birthday

happy birthdayyyy! although I heard you bought a xc bike???? after ripping into me and jamie. Cheeky english b*****d! have a good one
  2. if you like to be kept busy then an apprenticeship is probably your best bet. what you do is up to you, if you like cars then becoming a mechanic is probably going to be a natural choice. But i love cars but i never wanted to work in a garage because i was scared i'd bore myself of them. So i chose to do an electrical apprenticeship, the money is ok when your finished and there are lots of options such as working offshore, or moving into design. that leaves me weekends and nights to arse about with cars/bikes. obviously it depends what intrests you and you have to put up with < £5 an hour for the first year but it's not bad after that.

    Spots

it's all about how "greasy" your skin is. go to your doctor. if you've got serious acne changing your diet will be hardly noticable. your doctor will give you antibiotics which probably wont stop them but they'll probably reffer you to a specialist who'll offer you roaccutane. this stuff really is the best but f**k me the side effects are not good. i've had it for about 3 months now and it's made a huge difference. if you can put up with the fact that you're skin will be super dry and falling off, you're lips will be constantly chapped. shaving and washing your face will be uncomfortable. oh and you'll get suicidal over the smallest thing. Then it's really worth doing.
  4. get an all mountain bike then you can do it all
  5. don't know about the bigger clothing companys but some of the smaller ones do. I'm a sparky so i'm often in shops working on lights etc. we use special 'warming' bulbs in some of the shops/mainly in changing rooms. I wouldn't know about mirrors but i'm sure if it's legal then it'll be done in some shops.

    Close.

mk 1 fiesta's are quality. you don't see many decent ones now. Why not be imaginative find some wheels that'll look good and get yourself a second standard exhaust system to use for the mot. do what you want, it's your car. there is no point in looking for advice on here try passionford or one of them your bound to find something you like.
  7. It depends what area your in I think. The pay is different in both the halfords stores in aberdeen just because of the side of town they are on. there's not a huge difference though and they pay the 5.75 minimum so it won't be too bad. building bikes 40 hours a week though, you'll be pretty bored.
  8. as i just said to jake. it looks like i'm not going to be up on friday cause i'm working and we've got a fairly large job on so i might be late finished. will join you guys early saturday morning though.
  9. i'm still up for it. infact i can't wait. think me and jamie are gonna convoy up on friday. I need to get some pedals and learn how to put away my tent first lol. if anyone from the stoney/aberdeen area is struggling for a lift then drop me a pm i've got a space in my car. think i'm gonna take both my bikes up for a bit of a blast on the fourcross/downhill. i'm gonna fail miserably on the no texting her thing haha. it will be an ace laugh though. will probs speak to some of you before friday. gav
  10. keep your mouth clean and use iglu (?) (igloo) it's called something like that for the pain. They'll go away soon enough.
  11. true my £35 contract is £35
  12. I thought diesel started to freeze around the 0 degrees mark? not solid but it goes like jelly or something like that.
  13. When are you's riding stirling? are you riding stirling itself or somewhere around it? sorry thread wasn't very clear and i can't be bothered re-reading it.

    £1000

This might sound shallow but... who in there right mind would want to downgrade from a fairly modern larger engined car to a diesel ax? i'd rather give up driving. I spend about 1 and a 1/2 hours in my car commuting every day and i want it to be a pleasant experience not a nightmare. older cars are great for weekend fun but for commuting i don't care how cheap it is i'd rather have something more modern.
  15. I think i might be speaking crap.
  16. I thought that aswell. I asked the guy in the audi garage next to my college what the stuff at the bottom of the accelerator pedal was for and he said that.
  17. judging by what the mechanic said about my dads 06 one it's still the same.
  18. it's no safer because it only works if you declutch. the car is no more planted than in neutral because the wheels are still under no drive. in an injection car when you put it in nuetral the fuel management system puts more fuel than is needed into the engine, you will still use less fuel than if you just drive normally but it won't be less than if you dip the clutch and leave it in gear. also do audis not measure your mpg by calculating how far down the accelerater is and what gear the car is in. instead of actually measuring the amount of fuel going into the engine?
  19. ahh ok i thought that might have gotten a bit costly at £4 an appliance or whatever the going rate is now.
  20. just tape the end up and leave it unless you plan on fitting a metal bracket or something along those lines in which case you might want to earth it but there's not really any need. does the strobe get hot? wood might not be the best material to use if it does. oh and if your not using the earth just make sure it can't touch any live components. I have a quick question for you too. when you play venues or use any of your equipment in public places do you have to have it pat tested like a normal household appliance?
  21. i'm on for sunday i think i'll try and take someone else down aswell. need to check something before i defeninatly say yes though.
  22. The bubble that these idiots live in.
  23. yes but if the actual admin acount has a password then you won't be able to access it even in safe mode. I would go along the lines of looking for the software which allows you see what has been written in the password entry form previously.
  24. it's too easy. Saying that, it's alot harder than it used to be. Personally the only way i can see people's driving getting better is by making everyone do a compulsary test every 5 years. 17 is a good age to drive at. I need to drive for work. so i think you should be able sit your test at 17 providing you have reason to drive like work.
  25. carrera banshee x yeah yeah you've got to get past the it's a halfords bike it'll be shit attitude. but once you do you'll soon realise that it's actually very nice to ride. i've just gotten the new one after owning the old one because i love them so much. i've ridden kona coilers, com metas alot of different all mountain bikes and i like the banshee best because the turn in is perfect it feels balanced and smooth it can be a hard hitting freeride bike or a precise xc bike. yes it's never going to be as good as a £3000 bike but it does the job and as far as i'm concerned there is nothing better for less than a grand the downsides are really only that it's a touch heavy for serious climbing and it's got halfords written on it. well worth a test ride and i'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality even if you feel it's not the bike for you.
