  3. you sure about that? welds have to be smoothed on certain things. it's not exactly a common practice though and it's usually only there because it looks good not because it does anything.
  4. if i've got insurance for my new car by then I might be up for one day. can't make the whole weekend cause i'm at college then so i'll have to work sat/sun.
  5. so it's a try-all freewheel and tensile cranks? wasn't there some kind of issue with the first tryall freewheels like they were all really hard to get on almost like the threads were just made too small for the crank? i'm sure i read that on here a while ago
  6. I would try reinstalling it if that doesn't work try downlaoding frostwire (google). I get this problem every couple of months but updating it always seems to sort it out.

    Mazda Mx5

can't help you with the mazda but have you considered a mg tf? I think they look better, if you don't rag it should be reliable and they don't look quite as girly as the mazda. I wouldn't buy a mx5 unless it was a turbo one.
  8. you sure animals account for that much co2, i thought it was methane?

    The Gym

5/6 nights a week in the gym in the summer. why? go out get some decent fresh air while you train. if your lifting weights 5 or 6 times a week then you aren't resting enough (resulting in damage to joints and bones) if it's cardio your doing then why would anyone want to go the gym? i don't use a gym mainly because i'm only interested in cardio and building muscle for triathlons which can be done outside for free. i have got a set of weights in my garage but really they are for when the weather is shit or winter when it's too cold.
  10. I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find somewhere you can take it.
  11. hang on i'll text him.
  12. it is during winter at least up here it is. i'm guessing it's the same in wales and in the hilly areas of england. one day this winter my dad and i couldn't get over a well known local road in a fully kitted out sse land rover with snow chains, winch, land anchor. at the moment the price of diesel makes it impractical for me to have a 4x4 but when winter comes i'll probs end up with an sj or one of those Dihatsu things.

    Halfords

I did a weeks trial and ended up launching one of the shitty apollo's across the store. most repetitive boring job i've ever seen.

    Halfords

I'm guessing there are two reasons your local shop goes through staff too fast. The first is that most people don't plan to work at Halfords forever they are only there filling in time between school and uni or between job to job. As soon as they find something else they leave. The second is that halfords are such a shit company to work for, the work is boring and non-rewarding. I can see no reason why anyone would want to work for halfords. You can make loads more money working elsewhere and if your thinking 'i don't want to work in a supermarket. I'd rather work with bikes' then your wrong because you'll be bored stiff in no time.

    Beau

never met him but spoke a couple of times through here or on msn. real shame just seemed to be getting through a tough time. RIP
  16. I thought they were just special editions. The westcoast in 99 and the furio in 2000. Google it you will eventually get an answer.
  17. sub focus - time warp?
  18. I suppose thats not the best word to use. it's not really fair at all. and even if he did commit the crime he doesn't deserve to be killed over it.
  19. to be fair though just being an ex copper is enough to get you stabbed these days. so the combination of ex copper and the accusations are basically going to at least get you hurt.
  20. i bought a cheap halfords banshee at the start of the year just to see if i liked it and it was well worth the cash. i'm about to upgrade to something a bit more special though but i'd recommend that you start on something cheap and upgrade from there. banshees are really well worth the money i only paid 375 for mine and it's lasted pretty well. until i put it on my bike rack last night and it fell off at 60mph resulting in one f**ked wheel and one f**ked rear hope
  21. exactly but really it's possible to get very close to it so you may only have to recharge the battery 1 or 2 times per year. we shall see what technology the future brings.
  22. electricity isn't really that big an issue though. there are other ways of generating it's just not cost effective yet. I'm sure by the time we have no fuel ( I'm almost certain i'll never see it happen. it's further away than most think.) the government will have stopped pouring cash into useless things like old people and the police and build massive offshore wind farms, more hydro electric dams and hopefully nuclear aswell. powering cars is interesting though. The obvious choice is to use electricity it's already been fairly successful and hopefully the future will bring the ever recharging car whereby the car will be driving along using an electric motor powered by a battery which is being charged by a generator hooked up to the wheels. hydrogen is another option I quite like because the waste is pure steam it's almost the perfect solution to the problem. hopefully this new honda prototype hydrogen powered car will work. I can see quite a few people being killed because their car explodes though.
  23. but 300k is quite a lot to waste on bellends like Prescott who never really did anything ever (except eat). I too would like to think that they were some of the most intelligent people in the country too. but it really makes me wonder when i see some of the decisions they make. all we've heard about for the last however many months is this 10p tax rate. who writes in the manifesto that they want to try and eradicate poverty in the UK then decides they'll scrap the 10p tax rate and tax some of the poorest people more and the richest less? doesn't take the most intelligent person to work out what a crap idea that is.
