you're good at the 200 meters but you reckon you could sprint 2 miles. You know that your supposed to not breath when you sprint, most people can't sprint 300 meters. if you mean flat out then 2 slow miles then flat out again in a coast and burn fashion then you'd be mistaken you'll sap all your energy in the first couple of miles. a steady pace is much more efficient. I reckon if i was going to do it with some serious training I'd aim to do 8 minute miles for the first year, just to be on the safe side that would give me a time of about 3 1/2 hours which is pretty good and if you feel your easing it for the last couple you can always pick up the pace. I guess with no training a fairly slow 10-11 minute mile pace would be ok anyway, I would do some 'secret training' don't tell your friend and at the end just be like 'see told you.'

yeah doctors study for like 7+ years to just give someone who is depressed a drug. usually a doctor will just give you a course of drugs if he thinks there isn't really much wrong with you just to shut you up. Only very rarely they'll get it wrong. I don't know if these are the full regulations but if you want to get fluoxetine here you have to make a visit to the doctor 3 times the first one he just talks to you to see what the root of the problem is then you have to come back in 2 weeks you talk a bit more then he gives you a questionnaire and tells you to think wisely about your answers. only on the third visit if he thinks the problem can't be solved without drugs then he'll prescribe you some and refer you to a psychiatrist.

buy a downhill bike. I hear thats what all the cool people do nowadays. I'm kidding. No I'm not. sorry I just watched dodgeball again. go see a doctor Aidan if you feel that bad about it and don't be worried by the whole immature your depressed so you must be a psychopath attitude that some people have towards it. I felt like that about 2 years ago as well, your just at a stage in your life where it's pretty easy to get down about the small stuff. go have a word with a doctor, I went to see one and said I didn't want drugs, he referred me to a psychiatrist at cornhill in aberdeen, and we just had a chat. I guess the hardest part about it was initially walking through the door. you don't want people to think your a complete mentalist but I guess if you can post on here than you can talk to someone about it. good luck sorting it out.

winner mind you it was quite likely after that ending

don't bother, just about every piece of cad software is different you can spend decades learning to use them properly. also You won't be able to/won't want to afford the one your college uses. just wait until you go to college, if your struggling ask your lecturer about it, then got to the it department and spend a couple of hours brushing up.

it's not ok, but it's much more ok than stealing from other people to pay for it. my point is, he's not your average junkie, he's not just a leech on society, or a waste of oxygen. He made a living and had a huge impact on pretty much everyone under the age of 20. He did a decade of kids educational tv, then he got into drugs, and I'm sure no one forced him to take them but maybe he just got curious and in this case curiosity killed the cat. I guess you have to feel sorry for him because his life went to shit in about 3 days. The respect he earned before that should mean that he at least deserves as much sympathy as anyone else.

I reckon it'll be back, this time with Effy and her friends. was a good last episode, some nice mini driving too haha

he took drug's so suddenly he becomes a smack head? Do you even know what 'smack' is? so by your reckoning, anyone who smokes a bit of grass, drops a pill, likes the stour becomes a smack head automatically? mark made his millions on tv, he could afford to have coke binges, he was not a junkie low life thieving b*****d, he was a very talented artist, and i can safely say he taught me the basics of drawing. I guess the same can be said about pete doherty, underneath the 'hard' ass image there is a very talented musician. They both had/have a problem, but problems can be sorted, it's a shame mark never really got his problems sorted properly. RIP

it's actually only 65k dollars, I guess you'd hit the £50k mark by the time you got your gear and flights. it takes a long time too. I think it's about 1 1/2 months because you've got to go up fairly slowly to start with so you don't get altitude sickness I think it's 400-500 yards a day. I really want to do it but I guess I either need to hope i have the balls to join the sas, or win the lottery.

I had a copy a few months before I started riding, it's gone now though and i can't remember which issue it was, I think it would have been 2002 cause I got my first bike on december 23rd 2002.

dave, the idea is that the stopping power may not be better than a grind at all, but this thing will last for much longer, ( if you cnc'd it it would last the lifetime of the rim.) so instead of having to grind your rim once a month, you can sacrifice some braking power and not have to do it for a year or more.

the pubs and bars aren't too bad, I was in a few and got served in all of them with no id and I'm only 17 ( don't really look 18 either haha) dunno about clubs though cause I had to be in my hotel by 1 so didn't really see the point in going clubbing although i was sitting in a bar right across from a fairly busy club and they were checking id often.

why do you have to quit trials, college is always like that, they tell you your going to have to work like a bitch and you will for the first couple of weeks but it'll soon ease off and you'll have the time to ride again until exams. usually colleges are a bit more lax on time. you'll be fine if your late as long as you apologize and your class will be dismissed early most of the time. rules wise they are usually fairly easy going. you'll be fine, just keep your head down and get the work done. remember you're there because you chose to be there not because you had to be like school so they won't think twice about asking you to leave if your fighting or whatever. before I went to college for the first time I went in for a half hour at lunch time and grabbed a coffee just to see what the atmosphere was like.

sure a bunch of fit and healthy young adults doing a sport they've been doing for years is much more dangerous than letting a 74 year old granny lie on a bed of nails with a fat man standing on her, then letting her smash some marble with a sledge hammer on his back. health and safety would be fairly easy to persuade.

does frank build downhill frames? I'm guessing he probably does but they'd be one offs. I'm just interested because I can see why i'd buy a handmade downhill frame and I already know the quality of his work. I haven't got that much money to blow on a trials frame though. if any of you know that would be fab. cheers
-
Why not? trials is a talent. I think if you did it demo style and only had a person lying on the floor to hop around about, do a few flatland moves to some music, you'd do alright. It is something I wouldn't want to see at the royal variety show though i don't think it's that kind of talent.

They did abrasive coatings, as far as I remember not very many people got them (They were about £100 I think). They also ate pads in a big way.

Thats really the whole idea though. you should run out of energy before the end of the set, It's having the determination to work through the lapse of energy and finish the set that makes you strong. I'm not sure what your aiming for, but for me it's all about physical strength I don't really care too much about mass as that will come. I don't aim to get big. I aim to get strong. chuck on a bit more weight and give it your everything, don't worry if it f**ks up your routine or anything like that just give it your maximum every time for a few weeks and you'll soon see the difference.

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread

A man who is relationshippy? surely it's all about the mindless f**king. And if she doesn't want a relationship then you get all the good without the bad. no birthdays, meet the parents, valentines. sounds good to me. I guess thats why I'm not in a relationship. I probably could be but I don't see the point because very few people will be in a relationship from when they are 16 until they die with someone. I'm just shallow as f**k haha good luck sorting it out -
I can't really help you much. But I would try and find out what your role would be before you go. 'What do you think your role would be within the company?' will almost definitely be one of the questions. Good luck!

muel, you do know that using Wd-40 on a freewheel will cause it to skip right?
-
just de-grease it. then you can run the finest lub you can find through it. you don't need much though.

I guess that depends on the helicoil kit you use. The one I used at school was an m5 helicoil tap which was sightly smaller than an m6 one. The one i used at home is 5.2mm drill bit and 0.8mm helicoil so i just use an m6 tap. anyway that post was completely pointless because I know you know your stuff.

yeah, everything is so far-fetched. The music is usually good though.

do you actually have a problem with people smoking weed? I'm sure i've seen 4 or 5 of your posts along those lines. I thought it was pretty good last time. So predictable that chris would die after the last ep. Still I sense it's gonna be a great last series, ending with a huge suicide pact
