  1. I like how your expecting your tyres to grip in snow? 5/6 of us went to sherwood pines last year when we had bad snow. We all had different tyres on and all had the same lack of grip! Snow = slippery conditions, fact!
  2. Haha way to hijack a thread with the danny/ali discussion. Its nice to see a custom arcade rather than a standard off the peg build looks great...... looking forward to a vid now!
  3. thats what ur mum said last nite :wink2:
  4. I think hes jus clutching at straws because Abel M is catching him up!! :wink2:
  5. Yea i get what u mean. This just comes from experience and knowing quite a few riders that are constantly changing parts and and even frames and they havent improved much over the last few years. Just sometimes think that if people concentrated less on the bike they were riding and more on jus riding they would improve anyway without the cost of new kit. im not trying to start a debate on this or anything it's just my opinion. I miss the days when it jus used to be people going out and having fun rather than turning up to a big ride and discussing what brake pads they think are the best and slating others views and bike or spending silly amounts on carbon bars to save a few grams. Spose im just old fashiond and the scene has change a lot in the 17yrs iv been riding
  6. to be honest all i was thinking while watching that was, PLEASE be my girlfriend!!!
  7. As Martyn Ashton, Chris Akrigg and Danny McAskill have show, the set up of your bike these days means bugger all. Chances are that if you can't do something now changing parts isn't going to help and its all down to practice and keeping at it. You may even take a backstep? Just go and ride and have fun with it and it will come to you.
  8. thomas just get the one in the link that adam from tartys posted will sort you out
  9. not his best vid. too many footjam whips and the just looked clumsy in a bike that long? the rest of the riding was good though
  10. little bit emotional, its not looking good for his recovery. he is the reason i got into trials in the first place all those years ago and it suck it looks like its gonna end like that! my thoughts are with him all the way. however that was such an amazing piece of bike riding from all 3 guys and i'll admit to having a little grin when akrigg came on
  11. go long and low. remove spacers n stuff, will sit better on rear wheel then. best way to do it
  12. that was ace, its funny cos its not me!!
  13. im an old veterain from up north. been in trials 16/17 years. my first trials bike as an XC bike with a 15" frame and a -20 bb. the youth of today dont know there born with these new fandangled trials specific bikes. im liked buy the guys i ride with but can see why i would annoy people on here as jokes and sarcasm dont come across so well in text form but hey ho. im now 30 and have the knees of a pensioner but i will keep riding till i physically cant! piece out homies
  14. took me a b it to get my head around most of the moves in that alex coleburn vid
  15. thats the version they sent me for my XC bike... Its lovely and comfy (A)
  16. i think the only reason this didnt get persued back then is because trials was a completely different sport as to what it is now. back then everything was on 2 wheels and high bb feel awful for that kind of move. people would have rolled round thinking "urgh! this is minging" or whatever word they had for that in the 80s. im with you though, i dont like high bb either
  17. And it would stop chavs asking "where's your seat dick head?" haha
  18. no go on the fourplay, they fit like the old ashton justice seat and they do come in a variety of colours and woodstain :wink2: yea i have to say its the first new skool frame iv got on with ever! the bike is mainly MTB parts though
  19. its not bad actually, its the same angle as bmx riders have there seats
