Are you talking specifically about the little fun Lomo cameras with 4 lenses, fisheye, underwater etc., or the LCA/Holga/Panoramica cameras, and their use in street photography? I know I have fun when I use them. The whole aura surrounding Lomography, the website/message boards definitely feels like a closely guarded clique. They definitely have a powerful marketing team. I'm guessing professional photographers would be quite snobby about them, being as they're made of plastic, plastic lenses, colourful etc. But I don't see any reason why you can't take good photographs with them, even if they're not gonna make you an infinite amount of cash. They're a lot of fun to play around with, which is what they were made for at the end of the day. But I think you're right about the heavily marketed, perhaps even elitist target audience? I found an interesting article written by a pro about why he hates Lomography and everything about it, I'll have a look for you, but you've probably already read it. Someone that my friend's dad knows did the lottery every week with the same numbers, for years on end. Then one day, he decided to try it with some different numbers. Yeah, I bet everyone guessed what happened next. He ended up killing himself (his regular numbers came up, just in case someone didnt figure it out ) I remember winning a tenner once, and the rest of my numbers were one digit away from winning the millions. I was gutted.

Thats exactly how I used to feel. I knew/know I eat complete crap, but I figured with all the riding I did, it didn't matter. But now that I havent rode for about 4 months, have been smoking between 20 to 40 a day, and drive to uni, and order takeaway a lot, I'm pretty fooking terrified. I went and bought some books on healthy eating and stuff, and I'd really like to start doing Yoga. I've got too much going on at the moment though to conentrate on quitting smoking and eating properly, which is doing my head in. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Yes! I finally have a long, very fooking low, seatless bike! Thanks to Adam who put up with me turning up at Tarty without warning, four days in a row to get this beast sorted, but its finally there! All in all this year, with loans/grants/bursaries i'll have gotten £7000 I think. Apparently the bursary is now £2000 instead of £1000, which is some pretty tasty win. I got my second installment yesterday, so I boomed straight up to tarty for a new frame I'm probably gonna regret that...

Yeah. I usually find that if I dont ride for a week or two, everything is actually a lot easier and I can go a bit bigger than I could before. But I haven't rode properly for about 3 months, so I'm gonna have to start everything again I think!

I think its probably the worst frame I've seen in my life, looks-wise, but its pretty impressive that he hand built it.
