David 'dj' Jones Memorial Ride Abingdon

Recommended Posts

I have 2 seats and harnesses, taking a boxed up bike plus mine, and a mate. Get the X5 bus from MK to Oxford, then train to Radley, and ride the rest? We did that one year.

There is a bus that actually takes you to Abingdon United's doorstep from Oxford. Would probably let you on it if your bike was in a box too.

X3 and/or X13

Hi Guys,

Well it's now only ONE week away now and plans for the day are looking good, all the equipment has been organised and the BBQ will be up and running again this year too! The FBM t-shirts have arrived and look great so if you have ordered one please remember no money, no t-shirt!

On a serious note PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO PACK SOME SUN CREAM as the forecast for the day is SUNSHINE!!! as there is not much shelter from the sun.

We are really looking forward to hosting this event again this year, seeing you all again and of course remembering DJ, Beau, Oli, Janson and Hobsie (and anyone else who has fallen from the ranks.)

Please remember that the reason for this ride is to show respect and that means to everyone who is attending too and of course without saying to the venue and equipment.

The station you will need to get off at is Radley station, it is between Didcot and Oxford. Sam will be putting up signs for you to follow from Radley station to make your ride from Radley to the grounds a quick one.

Safe journey everyone, see you next week (or as i like to say 'only 7 more sleeps peeps!)

love Sue x :bunny::deej::bunny:

I understand this might be a bit last minute, but is there ANYWHERE in the south-west of England that a couple of fun guys could crash at on Friday night? Just desperately need to break the journey up a little, as having looked at Google maps: 252miles, 5 hours driving time = getting out of bed at 4am :( FAIL.....

Standard offer at mine is there as always, though it's probably not as far up as you were hoping

Far from perfect but you could then convoy up with D and I

I'm thinking; convoy up, crash at Craig's if he's up for it Friday eve, bbq, cocktails, etc, then keep the trip going Saturday morning up to Abingdon, before we roll back to Bristol.

EVERYONE bully Craig.

Can offer you and at least 3/4 others floor space in Birmingham? We have a gas BBQ too :-
