I mean the seat stays are usually supported by kind of being a continuation of the top tube, with this there's nothing there to support them, the main force being drops, that'll just push them forward. A curved top tube like a Crescent Ilions should work better in theory.

I think any benefit is probably offset (and more) by the gusset they've welded in there...

My eyes have got used to the paint job now, but I think it misses the mark by some margin in terms of design details. At least he'll be able to run a 32T chainring though :biggrin:
