Mothers Day

Recommended Posts

Morning.

I got this f**king rad card earlier in the week. It has "For this mothers day, i bought you a pedistal..." and then has a picture of a mum on the pedistal holding a trophy etc, but ofcourse, inside, it say "...so you can reach the higher area to dust. Happy m/o/t/h/e/r/s (crossed out) cleaners day"

:)

Meh, it tickled my fancy (Y)

I haven't however bought a gift, so not sure how thats going to go down :(

Might try and go buy some crumpets or something, so she can have them for breakfast.

So, who is now kicking themselves as they have completly forgotten? (Y)

Having recently become a Mum, I can say that bringing up a child is damn hard work and you'll only realise this once you're a parent yourself. Our lives completely revolve around our little one - everyday he calls the shots. It'll make you suddenly realise the huge amount of work your parents put in for you!

One day a year to show your appreciation isn't asking much to cover the other 364 days of the year when you're horrible to them. :)

No need to add to the commercialisation of the day and feel you have to buy lots of pressies - Maybe making her life easier for one day, it could be helping with a meal, making her cups of tea, something like that would be much appreciated.....But if you do have some loose change that is enough for a bunch of flowers and some choccies, then I'm sure your Mum could find a good use for them!

I read this and thought Steve had been hiding something from us all...

Then saw this and made that relaxing *phew* noise haha :)

I just got a jokey card (and remembered to post it!) and promised to make her breakfast in bed next time I go home. Called her this morning too; she'd been up since 8.30am... she can't just do nothing and let people look after her!
