RobinJI Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Nah, smooth welds are stronger, as its usualy a sign that the weld is evenly distibuted, which is stronger, also the smooth surface of the weld gives the structure more even distribution of force, reducing the stress risers, meaning a stronger joint.
