t.w Posted March 22, 2007 Report Share Posted March 22, 2007 hi guys just got validated (waHoOoo) so my first topic in the big boy forum.well i searched for my my answer and i couldnt find it,i got some new forks a couple of months ago and since i fitted them i have this anoying movment in my headset. When ever i turn or apply my front brake my frame moves forwards and my forks stay where they are (about a inch of travel) so i checked my headset and it was bust so i am out to get a new one BUT my headtube is 1 1/4th and my forks are 1 1/8th is there any headsets that will fit my bike ? comments are welcome thanks tom. I bought one off Hawzee (I'm pretty sure it was a production frame, not a proto) last year and although I can't remember for sure, I remember Wayne saying he might have a headset that'd fit it. Can't check the frame as it's packed up in the loft somewhere...EDIT: BTW, if your frame is designed for a 1 1/4 inch headset, you'd be just as well getting a couple of 'shims' to sit in the frame and reduce it for a 1 1/8 inch headset...
