You mean to replace a trialtech freewheel ? I ride a Hashtagg 135 screw-on (the one with industrial bearings) freewheel on my hex, works great but it creaks sometimes, annoying for this price tag. No skip though. The drag is unfortunately quite high. I sometimes consider buying a hope pro V, but the feedback of some discourages me. I never encountered an issue with the previous generation, maybe I shall give it a try!?

You say that, but they've finally released a carbon fork for their 20" frame. Although it has their odd 1 1/8"-1 1/4" steerer. They've also just released a 35mm OD carbon bar and a stem to fit. But in general you're right, the number of choices for bikes has shrunk. Building a custom bikes seems to have gone now, most seem to buy a full build Clean or Crewkerz for comp stuff (don't get me wrong these full build bikes are so much better than they used to be) and an Inspired for street. Which is a shame really, i always enjoyed building a bike from the parts I've selected. This has also meant that the second hand market for parts is fairly dead. I think FB and social media has killed off the general community of trials, everyone used to go to a few specific trials forums, chat and share everything. Now it's much more fractured, with every area having a FB group or a group chat. Which means the numbers have just shrunk, it's a real shame as I loved the social aspect of trials.

I need to replace my Trialtech with something better. What do you recommend besides Jitsie?

Well, AliExpress is convenient for me, but I am skeptical about what they have lol There's a hub from a brand called Koozer, which... I saw some reviews of other Koozer hubs saying they're fine, but cheap price can also be low QA, so also hard to trust lol
