  1. I'm always up for a bit of skatepark but I'm easy, wherever. Looking forward to it, see you tomorrow fellas.
  2. Have to say it's all about the Isle on Sunday
  3. Yeah I liked it! Which is not too common for someone riding something as long as that. Some really cool lines in there and inventive stuff . Your 270 hoppy drop off thing (1.12) freaks me out cos you can do it the opposite way to how I do! Cool. I did enjoy the over the bars bails too. The thing that stood out to me about the filming was how it kept jumping from one point of view to another in the middle of a line. I think that suits the soundtrack (which was a bit wierd by the way) and works well for some moves (like 3.33) but not so well for others (like 3.05 confused me a bit).
  4. Those bars sound fairly similar to Easton EA30/50/70 which a lot of street type riders use so they're probably ok, just with a bit more rise. They're 5mm shorter but honestly who's going to notice that. Bit heavier than EA70s too but probably not the end of the world? I've got EA50s and I love 'em. Anything intended for DH is going to be strong enough, although some of them will be on the short and heavy side. I use an Easton Vice 65mm which is great for me but I have to say I like it a bit shorter than most riders, even streety riders. My geo is 1040mm 73deg if that helps.
  5. Sounds like a silly game to me... I'd use the springs and lubrication that it was designed to be used with if you value your teeth and your expensive hub.
  6. Might be talking about a Michelin Wildgripper Hot S, they are red, 70a, I had a 2.1". It's true that they are light and last for ages, but I didn't like it cos it wasn't very grippy and easy to puncture.
  7. I use a 2.35 maxxis. A lot of people do use smaller ones like a 2.1 though to save weight. I guess it depends how much you use your front end, and whether or not you struggle to get enough grip. A lot of people have a maxxis dual ply on the back and a lighter single ply on the front, and taking their advice I did the same, but personally I prefer dual ply 2.35 on the front as well, because the sidewalls aren't so strong on the single ply. I have to pump it up hard in order not to rim out when I do front wheel stalls, and then I don't get enough grip really. But that's just me. EDIT: actually that's cos I bought 60a which I now regret... still have to have 60a on the back though.
  8. Ahhhh that was sweet stylish and smooth! More of that please!
  9. Any idea what sort of time we're going for? The usual 11ish? Will be dark about 4 I guess. I've just been checking the ferries from Southampton, looks like they're once per hour, leaving on the hour and arriving at 5 to. So could get the 10.00 and arrive just before 11? That's in Cowes though... At least one of my housemates is up for coming. Forecast at the moment is sunny and a bit windy so should be ok if it stays that way.
  10. That's right Clem you're definitely going to get some more vids out aren't you! Hint hint. And pop up to Thanet at Easter or something for sesh, I only ever seem to see you for 5 minutes at a time in Folkestone... Anyway back to the thread: Elliot Firth: http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/tommydthatsme --> ell_lezzer.mpg And in the same folder, Underdog.avi is mine and Gilly's most recent video. Both 26" but streety streety
  11. You are a very bouncy man. I think I'd prefer it if you didn't cut out the endings of some of the clips, and a bit less one-move-per-clip would be good too but there was some good stuff in there. Not sure I have seen underwater trials before!
  12. I like it! Rockin the sketchy look but good riding. If I remember your other vids I'd say the new bike suits your riding better. Well up for a longer one
  13. Curtis? http://curtisbikes.co.uk/trials26.html I was thinking Base TA26 as well.
  14. Looks great, I prefer the new forks to the old ones you had. Nice seat too! I really want a Curtis 26" but they appear to cost over half a grand
  15. Much appreciated good sir! I better see if either of my house mates are up for coming (you met James in Portsmouth a few months ago), would you be able to take 2 or 3? Can't really tell about the weather yet but at the moment it's saying lots of wind and rain, in which case I might have to leave it for next time! But cheers for the offer and I'll check with the others.
  16. Haha looks awesome, sufficiently ghetto I would say.
  17. The colour looks beautiful, especially with everything else in black. If it was me I've have a bigger seat and bashguard and a smaller tensioner but hey each to his own.
  18. The last move was amazing, unfortunately the frame is really ugly!
  19. Mebbe. I shall consult my trials housemates, my calendar, and the weather forecast... Do you ride in Ryde? Cos I can't help noticing that the ferry from Southampton goes to Cowes. How far away is that?
  20. Option 2 sounds best to me. Life is generally easier if you stick to one bike! So just get a decent 24" and the world will be your oyster...
  21. You're most welcome and cheers to mat-t cos I hadn't seen that one. Fred Judd http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....ails&id=379 Come on lazy buggers I want some videos to appear that I haven't seen before!
  22. Sweet! I heard mr Bradley Flynn might be around as well...
  23. Yay! Cool video, that looked fun! Now I want to go riding
  24. As in streety street, bmxish, as opposed to just anything urban? Boon http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=106196&hl= http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=105338&hl= John Shrewbury http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=n_ZMWdM6YzQ Phil Feeney http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rBXy1DpLCjY Just thought you might be meaning to download... am I right?
  25. Gilly and I are riding Ramsgate tomorrow from about 11. Probably round the sea front, usual places by the beach and on the cliff top. Wherever really. Come join us! We'll be down on the main about 11 I imagine. All are welcome. Weather forecast looks alright so far.
