Whopper. Cool to see determination winning through after some of those crashes

No. A simple sentence wouldn't have been fine. Many people seem to think that longer messages are always unnecessary and are just the writer venting, but most of the time it's actually that what the writer wants to convey can't be properly surmised in a single sentence. I appreciate (and to some extent agree) that succinctity is widely regarded as a good thing, but there's being succinct and there's being so concise as to leave your implications ambiguous. I don't pick up on every bad thing you say. I didn't reply to any of your messages throughout that entire thread. I have only responded to this one thing you said that I didn't like, and going off percentages I'm actually doing pretty well at letting things slide. Be that as it may - I will apologize. Had you just been one person commenting on music choice I would've simply ignored it as I usually do, but your comment was just one upon myriad others and because of your other thread I lashed out. You maybe didn't deserve all of it, but know that apologizing for it having happened absolutely does not imply that I didn't mean every word of it.

As Ross said - the gap between the tyre and crown is quite large, so your foot can get sucked in when doing footjams. It's mostly to enable front wheel gaps where I have to stop dead though. I can't remember the last time I did a footjam whip Music is deeply important to me. When you actually interact with it rather than taking it at face value, the simple fact that it is slow and reasonably minimal has absolutely no connection to being sad or depressing. I personally find it more reflective and uplifting than depressing - but then I actually listen to it, rather than assuming I know what it's trying to convey because of the context of movie scenes music of a similar style (note: being played on the same instrument should not be taken to mean that it is even approaching the same thing) is often used in the background of. I have wanted to use this piece for a long time now, but always refrained for fear of appearing pretentious. I agonized over music choice on this video for a long time before settling on Parlour. I resolved to use the music I wanted to use, regardless, since I was making this video for my own enjoyment more than the entertainment of others. Given how slow my riding is, I personally think music such as this is a more suitable accompaniment than anything else. I felt that the "vibe" of this music encapsulated the "vibe" of the ride almost perfectly, and love the contrast between the soft music and harsh sounds of the hub. If you are unwilling to accept - let alone appreciate - other styles of music then that is unfortunate, but given your recent attitude in your video thread, your opinion is not one I care all that much about.

...You guys... Come on. Hush now.

Sorry - that's the feeling I was trying to avoid giving by that "Edit:" section underneath the paragraph you quoted. Clearly didn't word it as unambiguously as I'd thought Haha. I didn't mean to imply there was ganging up either - only that you were the only people I've heard mention it recently.

Thanks guys Yeah - it's the newer 80ep Pro 2, though the 18:12 gearing brings that up to an effective 120ep per crank revolution, and it's bloody fantastic.

Sweet Some massive shit in there. Particularly the ender gap in Sheffield. Whopper! Just for the record - the whole "seated vs seatless" rivalry thing seems to be perpetuated exclusively by your circle of friends. (By which I mean the Yorkshire/Humber TGS riders - not sure if you're all friends or not, but that group ) If you could lay off it, the whole thing could just die out and we can all be friends Edit: Just to clarify; that's in reference to the way things are now. I know those with seats have dealt their fair share of shit to those without in the past, but from what I can tell they don't any more. Also for the record - I think that has to be the loudest King I've ever heard

I was feeling really up for riding, so went to Lee Mill for a solo ride, but when I got there I just felt terrible. It was really windy, and then it started raining. I persisted for a while, but then had had enough and was about to give up when I saw the sun peeking through (if you know why that's humorous then you deserve a medal!). I went and got the camera from the car and decided to use filming for a mini-video as a means of pushing through feeling numb and hopefully start riding well. The weather turned, I got in the swing of riding and had a lot of fun. Most of the lines are pretty average, but there's a couple in there I'm really happy with. Overall super pleased with myself on this one. There's better riding in others, but in terms of the being a video I think this is the best I've made

He means the cylinder washer, not the olive. This: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=27 I have a set of Tensile offset mounts sat in my spare parts box - sending you a PM now.

If there was an award for most contrasting (and worst combination of ) audio and video components of an audiovisial presentation, this would definitely get my vote! Absolutely unreal riding.
-
I really, really miss TGS videos.

If you thought that was sneaky I think you could do with a lesson or two in subtlety. I thought that about as blatant as possible, and left it like that so it was obvious it was only there to keep timings right. I tested it with a crossfade and it looked absolutely awful. Thanks to everyone else though

Huge thanks to my sponsors for keeping me in the game! Kinda tech-heavy, but the weather's sucked so gotta make do

I'll be heading to Bristol and wouldn't dream of going back to Leicester unless I absolutely had to ( ) but just so you know, they've apparently knocked most of the spots down. Hex is gone, and apparently Royal is all fenced off. A bunch of little spots are supposedly no longer too. Slats at the uni are back in action though. Not saying it'll be no good at all - just so you know it might not be what you hope (which shouldn't be much anyway). Haha.

-
Just to reassure - that description fits Hook Woods, so I reckon that's where you're thinking of. So much fun to ride there. Wanna go back now

Up to pedal to rear at 2:47 was simply awesome So cool.
-
That was so, so awesome. Dude's sure had a lot of bikes, too!
-
There was a photoshopped Monty circulating a while back, which might be what you're thinking of. It was just a regular M5 frame photoshopped onto a stock. Not an actual bike. (Edit: Or rather, 26" wheels photoshopped onto an M5 bike. Whatever.)

I know North Yorkshire has a reputation for being a bit grim to those down south, but I'd no idea you could actually buy bottled piss up there!
-
Got all excited thinking this was a new one of him. Oh well - guess I'll just have to watch this one again Haha.

Sure - I was exaggerating a bit to make my point Everyone that can get up a certain wall will have at least the bare minimum of technique required, but some ONLY have the minimum and use power for the rest of it, where others use much less power with better technique. A very few lie at the extremes of the continuum, but most lie somewhere between the two.
-
It varies from rider to rider. Some have flawless technique and use relatively little strength, some have absolutely no technique whatsoever and rely solely on brute force and hope (such as myself ).
