  1. I HAVE AN OPINION TOO. Leave this thread open, maybe some people might learn from it.
  2. It might be a repost http://www.pinkbike.com/video/166345/ Nice to see someone with their own style, and a really well produced video! Edit\\ My bad, should really have used the search function instead of checking the video page.
  3. If they are going to be anything like the Mac's bike, I believe they are going to have 360 dropouts. If they do that, there had better be a disk mount!
  4. Grammar* I think he may be referring to the Mike from Louth? (Who no longer rides). TBF Sign Hills needed knocking down in that, as a playground for small kids, it was a death trap haha.
  5. I live in Louth, I'd be up for a ride but it would have to be during the week...

Got it today. I don't know if I've got a duff disc but when I play it on both of my DVD players it skips so much its un-watchable. Then when I try to watch it on my pc or laptop in VLC I can navigate through the menu, but when I try to click on something that sends me to a video it just doesn't play. I've got the latest update of VLC, k-lite mega codec pack and I've even tried using media player classic. Any body else had this issue and managed to get around it?

Been holding off spending my pennys so soon before payday. However, on the strength of the reviews here I may just have to order it tomorrow!
  8. Everyone knows that nobody had a 24 before Danny Mac's video What days you off work adam?
  9. I think trials alone isn't quite exciting enough to make it all the way to the finals of a show like that. Much of Jeremy's stuff began to look similar to myself, and (presumably) the public. I think maybe a group of extreme sports enthusiasts such as a BMXer, flatland BMXer, trials and a skater could do very well in a competition like this as they could all bring different elements into the performance. As whoever said Kenny Belaey wouldn't be allowed to enter: hasn't Danny Mac, who is arguably a much more well known rider to the public, recieved about 30 offers to do Britain has got talent? I could swear I read it somewhere.
  10. Will the v-brake mounted fourplay be available as a frame only? (contributing to the difficulty finding interest in the market.)
  11. It makes perfect sense. Your post that I quoted asked about whether Rubens was scared and could have just backed off the throttle - he is a racing driver, so if he sees a gap in which he can pass then he is going to try and make it through there. Besides he wasn't fractionally faster, he was considerably faster. When he pulled out of the slip stream he had overtaken schumi within about 2 or 3 seconds, which is more than enough for that situation.
  12. By being a racing driver you are under risk all the time. By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, competing to win. - Senna Personally, I think it was a pretty stupid thing of Schumi to do. And it was also pretty stupid of Rubens to try and squeeze through, what if someone had been exiting the pits?
  13. I reckon Asia or Australia could be quite good?
  14. Its not really worth getting one unless its high end. You will have to spend a fair bit buying lenses for it, and most cheap ones are static which don't usually look good. Your best bet is to wait a while and try and pick up a dslr video camera second hand. It will cost a fair bit but you'll pretty much be able to do anything with it. Edit\\ Actually just do what Krisboats says, I know nothing about these new cameras
  15. You want a shallower depth of field Most camcorder sensors are far too small to acheieve a shallow depth of field. You'd want a depth of field adaptor for that, but a decent one can be quite pricy.
  16. In vegas, what quality is the preview box set to? Draft/Preview/Good/Best? Try setting it to preview (auto). Also go into properties and you can allocate more RAM for the preview box. If that doesn't work you could always highlight the bit of the timeline that you want to watch and hit Shift + B to render a RAM preview.
  17. Strap a nailbomb to the chain?
  18. It would have to be against a streety 24 with brakes imo: something that can get decent speed up but still hop around on obstacles. And of course most of the audience would recognise that type of bike from a certain video by some bloke in Scotland...
  19. I'm lucky enough to live in a quiet area where all the chavs are fannies, so it doesn't matter as much when I do it. One tip I'd recommend is to leave your bike upside down, it will buy you a couple of seconds as whoever tries to steal it will fumble with the bike
  20. Are you a meerkat? No? Then do one.
  21. On the other hand, getting a nice, new car might ensure that the driver drives it responsibly(ish) out of fear of damaging such an expensive car? Still the cheap little runner is probably the best way to go. Anyone under 25 and struggling for insurance might want to get an I-cube policy (I think thats what its called.) They install a little GPS tracker in your car and you aren't allowed to drive between 23:00 and 05:00, but it brings your insurance down loads*. *Got £900 off the cheapest quote I'd had for a 1.2 Clio for my insurance with them, and then an extra £700 for my pass plus.
  22. I don't think he knew whether he was allowed to pass? Either way the Ferraris were never going to get past the safety car imo.
  23. I tend to ride with bmxers and people who ride street, so we often go to parks/less trials orientated spots. With brakes I just found myself ending up hopping around the park like my bike is a pogo stick. Since I have had no brakes everything flows better and it all feels a lot more natural.
