  2. i snapped my tensile urban legends after four months of riding,im not a heavy rider and i don't even go big so . . . . . maybe there only made for comp riding instead of urban/street like the name surgests. steve
  3. good luck post some pics up of the demo please once you've done it. steve
  4. here are my tips , 1.go at the thing your backwheeling like you mean it,otherewise you have no chance of doing in. 2.make sure that your back brake holds well so that it doesnt slip if you land the back tire on the edge. 3.start of small and work up ,but no lower than 20". good luck mate, steve
  5. i did 32" the other day ,aiming for 36" within the next 2 weeks when i do it im going to treat myself to a new bike part,i have a personal reward system . steve

  7. 1. high quality grinding disc, preffably brand new 2.hold the grinder at 60 degrees plus 3.lean fairly hard into the grinder as you litterly drag it accross the rim 4.the quicler you drag the grinder the better as for the diamond disc ,place's like focus ,b&q ,screww fix direct etc should sell the.hope i've helped, steve
  8. i don't think that rohloffs sell for that much,i think they meant http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10142 steve
  9. nice bike there, decent spec the only thing that i would change would be the colours of the componants ,maybe black parts instead of silver and red ,but thats just me being fussy. hope she rides well, steve
  10. bike looks good just a wondering ,surely with the hole in the headtube it means that on a wet day water will gather at the bottom of the steerer tube ?and even if that doesnt happen do you have to dry the inside frame/headset out to stop rust appearing? please don't get me wrong ,i think what you have done looks smart i just was curious if you've had problems with your frame adaption. steve
  11. thats pretty cool, i bet that obsticle took out a few riders lol
  12. all i can say is give it a go ,i was running 18:16 then i tried 18:15 and found it suited me a bit better but it took a week or so of getting used too. if you decide you don't like the new ratio just sell the cog on,or keep it as a spare . steve
  13. try adding a bit of flare to your riding lines ,like mauals ,x-ups ,180s etc
  14. i'd like to see disc and magura mounts on the inside of seat stays ,and horozontal dropouts for more stock fames like m4rko said earlier . also maybe more trye clearance
  15. paintballing for the win it'll be wicked if you take a big group just wear thick clothes as you will probably be the shot at by everyone lol the memorys anyways ,hope you hav a good one birthday

  18. the highest i've dropped is 6ft,gets scary after that i have more fun trying to get ride up stuff
  19. i think the easyest way to get them is to build yourself a set up by buying the cyclinders on there own and chuck them with your current lever,if you need a whole maggie brake i'd say get maggie and spray paint it
  20. i've had a try-all on the front and rear of my bike ,i wouldnt reccomend the front on as the buckle and dent so easly the rear on the other hand is nice and light and was fairly strong untill i grinded it 6 time in about four months ,they hold grinds pretty crap so they need redoing often. have you looked at the revel rims on tarty? rear = http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2236 front = http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2235 these look fairly good,im going to get a rear rim in the near future steve
  21. perhaps changing your handle bars,or put a few stackers under your stem .have a play around with your stackers first as there the cheapest bits to change. steve
