  1. Of the hope hub... Or a king :king:
  2. More pre-load... drop the front end more and sit down into your tyre.
  3. Really great James, echoing what everyones said but... big progression still! Hopefully get out with you two asap Edit was sweet too Matt, definitely one of your best.
  4. Breath and Bionic/zhi are completely different companies for one...secondly when you build a frame to such a low price point then try and compete with Koxx's weight im afraid somethings got to give, the slightly earlier zhi's that were around 1.6-1.8kgs were a lot stronger.
  5. Either longer steerer'd forks, or a sloping top cap stem are your only real options. Mines setup a bit like this, seems alright to me. Could always grind down a washer and put it between the top bolt clamp to stop it closing so much?
  6. On my zhi stock, 18-20 front and rear, try-all stiky up front and stiky lite rear. I weight 9st 11lbs
  7. Definitely not worth taking the piss out of him, but lets be honest it is asking for it a bit on here surely?
  8. There were 3 z3 stocks.... the original Z3 with +40mm bb rise and vert dropouts, the +60mm one with horiz dropouts and finally the +75 one that's identical to the +60 in every other way apart from finish ) anodised instead of painted. Mark, I believe that was Canardweb's ( simon Kuchesberger , [sp?] ) old bionic. I have seen a couple of pures snap there ( they have identical downtube gussets I think? whereas the Zhi has an open ended one that better serves to dissipate the stress I think. My zhi seems fine, no real issues with it and being as tiny as I am it fits me perfectly. Fact, the z3r is only 10mm shorter in the reach that an Echo pure 2011, so not exactly a huge difference.
  9. Haha Jo seemed gutted about that as well Really enjoyable day, made me realise how unfit I was, and how much i need to get on it for Blackpool!
  10. Zhi's also have different head tube gussets which leads to them being less likely to do this: I quite like my Zhi, really similar to the Echo pure 2011 geometry too, just 2-300gr heavier.
  11. Im going to assume you've got the standard Onza half phat/full phat wheels that come ona t-raptor... in that case you just need to go to a bike shop and get a threaded axle and cone spanners and switch it over If you post up some pictures ill be able to give you some more advice . Cheers, Alex
  12. They tend to burp a fair bit, leaving the sealant all over your rim and a softer tyre... Not great
  13. This and the Cosut v2 are the nicest looking frames made in my opinion. Would love to find one in the UK.
  14. Nah, theyve got few enough knobbles as it is. I'd leave it be.
  15. Im probably going to be told this is a silly idea, but when pads wear they match the camber of the rim ( unless you have straight / non-angled sidewalls )e.g [ \\_________// ] <-- pad ^ rim If you put the pad on the wrong way up they'll have to wear a fair amount to match this new profile, and theyll only be braking on a really small part of the pad. When you pull the lever this little ridge of pad compresses giving a very spongy brake. e.g [ /\_________/\ ] So the upshot of it is, check if your pads are hitting properly flat
  16. Hah cheers, The feel of the brake was slightly improved, and ive actually just got the bike back from a mate. I think a a lever service will sort my problems. If it were me id have a bash myself to be honest, not much you can lose.
  17. #3 hope caliper, 180mm rotor Link to related topic on OTN
  18. You can use mine whenever Mart And yes, that tool will fit.

My favourite rider around by far, gives me hope for being so small
  20. Taking off a bit further away normally helps you to go to two wheels
  21. I think its fair to call it training... a lot of us are training to go bigger, get techier stuff nailed or ride for longer surely? I don't see why we're different from any other athletes in that respect. Just because people choose to call it training doesn't make it any less enjoyable for them, or make them ride inside a specific set of rules. Im trying to work up to riding more often, at the moment every 3 days for about 6 hours a time is the most by shoulders can cope with ( do lots of taps and sidehops and have next to no top-half muscle ) so just keep trying to decrease your recovery time slightly, or ride for a longer period before you stop really.
  22. Due to a dead computer this has had a major delay, editings a bit shit as i was doing it in 10fps. Hoipe you guys like anyway!
