  1. I agree with the psychosomatic effect of bigger wheels, I cant go anywhere near as big on mod as i can a stock purely because im lower down and everything looks massive.
  2. They ride so well, hopefully see you out on a ride soon mate!
  3. I recently got a quote for £50 for a frame to be anodised flat black. Very interested to get my frame done that cheaply though! Might have to send off an email , cheers isitafox
  4. Well I for one am interested in getting a rear rim coated
  5. Looks to be a 150 x 30 with 10mm of stackers...pretty standard fare on an Echo 24. Pretty much what id run, and i wouldnt have said from looking at pictures that the front end is excessively low for you
  6. Echo 2007, and anodised not sprayed
  7. Stiky lite? Pretty much the lighter and thinner the tyre \tube especially sidewall the bouncier it'll be. Also the larger tyre volume helps
  8. The older HS11's were made from plastic Brad? The newer ones are Maguras own proprietary composite...from what I can see the hs33 and 11 are the same material. Edit: some kind of carbon composite, I assume similar to the one used on the MT series of disc brakes.
  9. Quite strange results from that dyno test... the MT8 seemed to fair pretty poorly compared to its lower priced stable mates the same as the elixir range.
  10. And who sent this to him Q: Hi, I saw this advert as it was posted on an internet forum due to the laughable description. You stated you don't know much about this sort of thing so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt but I get pretty annoyed when I see people try to rip off anyone getting into cycling. That bike NEVER cost £1700, not in a million years! If you did get it as payment and believed it cost that much then I'd go knocking on that person's door. I'd say that bike cost roughly £150 new. The seatpost is on backwards, the chain is fitted around the chainring the opposite way as to how it should be fitted, the bars are at an un-useable angle all in all it's a massive pile. £1 is about how much it's worth and fortunately most riders will be able to tell, but (and it might be your intention) you might fool a parent or kid who now has Christmas money and think they are grabbing a bargain. I know you'll not change the advert, but I thought I'd give you my thoughts and perhaps you'll think more nexttime 30-Dec-12 A: Good morning Ingerith, Hmm No name? But lots to say...... But sensibly you did give me the benefit... Along with the advert is a clear detail which you Conveniently missed in your rant..... I state, ' please do not ask me any details as I know nothing about bikes' What part if that is difficult for you to understand or digest? If you say it's worth a pound? You're a moron, it clearly is not! Conversely if you say it isn't, and perhaps you have experience ? Then fair enough!! Either way, keep your comments to yourself, they are neither helpful or warranted. It's a genuine sale, if it goes for £10 it does! You suggestive comments regarding a rip off or con are ridiculous!! It's an auction and people will only bid shat they want.. The pictures are clear, and as you have so knowledgeably pointed out, the bike Is not A1 condition...... My advice to you, mind your own business, don't bid, and in future be careful with your slanderous emails! You are welcome to your opinion, but the minute you write it down and it is not correct, the law kicks in. Happy Christmas Kevin.
  11. Trial techs..... 2 years on magura and try and go big to front

my brakes need bleeding before monday, might slip a bit of vodka in them.

  13. Havent actually got round to going to one yet, but really keen on going next year!
  14. Manuel: Definitely, but people will tinker with trials bikes. I wouldn't stretch a spring for no reason, or just for the noise factor.
  15. When you stretch a spring if youre not careful you increase the diameter causing it to bind against the hub shell. If youre very careful and twist it inwards the diameter stays the same or decreases negating this problem.
  16. Der Kaisers are pretty sizable, with the GU's short chainstays you may have issues. Check the dimensions on Tarty if i were you. Probably end up trimming off some knobbles to make it fit at least
  17. My First Zenith Bike built for a mate to try trials in the early days What I ended up building and selling to him
  18. i use a KIng, with one snailcam on the driveside ( inside )
  19. Trialtech seem pretty reasonable with rearward facing HS mounts. My Viz front facing only last about 9 months
