http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/yst-sealed-bearing-bottom-bracket-threadless-bb-993-prod4521/?src=froogle Sq taper, cant seem to find an ISIS version. I suppose you could have the BB shell reamed, a spacer lathed up to sit between both bearings and a donor axle from a fekked bottom bracket?

I think the main property to look at with aluminium is how readily it fatigues ( this is what I have learnt from ND eng, no idea whether its true ). Aluminium will fatigue under any load given that it is put through the cycle enough times. Had a little look on Wikipedia, and saw this Having said that " The concept of endurance limit was introduced in 1870 by August Wöhler.[9] However, recent research suggests that endurance limits do not actually exist, that if enough stress cycles are performed, even the smallest stress will eventually produce fatigue failure.[5][10] " So i think its a case that aluminium is far more susceptible to fatigue than its ferrous counterpart. Obviously things get a lot more complciated when you start looking at alloys and compositions as the attributes for each variation can vary enormously.

Looks like a woodstock, nice though.

Thread is wayyy too serious. Chop some knobbles off if it makes you happy,

I normally do as suggested by Miss-Higgy, may take 5 minutes longer but a safer way of doing it.

If it was second hand, then its not exactly surprising surely. Chances are it was cracked when you bought it.

Bit O/T but was that the Global Ti frame proto? Seem to remember it being in MBUK a few years back

Try: Knocking a torx bit into the allen head Cutting a slot into the head Chiselling the bolt around Gripping with mole grips if possible Drilling the bolt head off Welding a piece of rod/bar to the bolt to twist it out. Ez-outs ( google this )

650b? nah i dont see the advantage at all in all seriousness.

Pretty much same situation as you; pulled the headset stripped and re-greased everything. Pulled bars and cleaned clamp area and removed loose paint, greased bolts and re-torqued faceplate bolts. Still creaks just not as much ( also thoroughly checked bars for cracks )

I actually didnt like mine at all, they felt like the old hope levers; a little too square on top. RB designs all the way

D Rock .. if youre running the neon carbon then youre square taper which is a narrower set-up anyway. Simply put the frame doesn't like most conventional isis setups much...

Zhi Z3 are +40, few of them floating around...yaabaa stinger, or as suggested speedrace fans

Converting 2Bolt Booster To Vee + Cutting Maggy Pads Into Cnc Vee Back
Alex Dark replied to Azarathal's topic in Trials Chat
The evo2's definitely wont work.... opening up the slots from 5 to 6mm on the 4 bolt booster may well work, depending on the spacing ( vee are typically narrower, but it depends if youre using adaptors ) -

31.8 Clamp Bars For 24" - Other Than Trialtech Highrise
Alex Dark replied to JoNnY__Mc's topic in Trials Chat
I agree with Aener. On a 24 id use some Monty 221ti's personally, doubt anyone else would agree haha -
I was going to make some horiz dropouts for my mates premier but we decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I assume it's so you can convert between the two?

Motorbike flywheel puller ... check your local dealership, or try a motorfactors.

Rockman quality

Looks as if that dropout weld has been ground back far too much... you may get away with getting someone to weld over the top as it looks like it has just cracked from lack of material. The frame will be significantly weaker unfortunately. As for the headtube, its worth a try to grind out the crack and add a large radius

Yeh i was quite happy with that... i managed to animate it as well in the end. Was National Diploma Engineering Was great, really enjoyed all the machining... hopefully get into a bit of that at my new job if possible, we've got some really nice CNC kit. Ive only used FEA off my own back when ive been bored, seems very interesting though! Im looking down the flow analysis route for work though, to calculate pressures / flow rates etc. Now its just solidworks Pro. Definitely! Thats the plan if i ever get enough dolla together Add me to facebook mate
