  1. DO NOT WELD IT....you will lose all the tempering around the brake mount
  2. Yeee so basically changed forks to run a disc...problem is the rotor rubs horrendously on the CPS bolts and the inside of the caliper (nearside) are there any known issues about the urban forks with a king hub? Tried two different adaptors..and the same woes ensued. Im assuming the Echo forks just have a mount thats welded on a smidge too far towards the hub...so i guess my only option is to mill down the adaptor to bring both caliper and bolts slightly toward the outside of the fork leg...anyone else have any good ideas? PS tried washer on the axle of the hub, but even with a decent sized 1mm it wont quite clear.
  3. I think most people use them
  4. Viz pro 720 bars for sure.....so much nicer than most bars ive tried....monty 221ti's are very similar, and Try-all carbons are that bit nicer feeling
  5. If you chop and re-weld...the frame will be around 20% of the original strength ( if it doesnt get later heat - treated / tempered )
  6. Probably....the coust brothers ran those fournales carbon forks did they not?
  7. Massive amounts of work being done at the moment to try and catch up.... Started the booster thingy for my actual project and the router decided to shit itself and snap the part that holds the tooling :\ hopefully will be fixed by the start of next week ( eg tomorrow ) otherwise im in very dire stratts regarding my actual project. To everyone that definitely wanted a booster etc it shoudl still go ahead, but consider it on pause...and to the guy that sent me dolla, if you want a full refun ill be only too happy to oblige. Had no intentions of messing around, as this has REALLY put me in the shit as well.... Hopefully everything will be sorted soon, but i though i should at least update people Regards, Alex
  8. Mate of mine rides a Z1...damned nice frame, I really want a Bionic B5r
  9. Sorted all received....i will process tomorrow and dispatch asap. Alex
  10. Welcome to the Forum dude....keep to the rules and you'll find this a pretty helpful and informative lil community
  11. Mod or stock? Fixed or free? Disc or non-disc? Lightweight or hench? Budget? Spoke drilling?
  12. Truth They're piss easy to fix anyway....
  13. Such a bouncy little dude Keep up the riding though, twas good
  14. I wouldn't get the stock forks...the fly guys aren't renowned for being terribly strong. Take a look at the Echo urbans click here
  15. Hey man, welcome to the Forum.... Good stuff getting back into riding after a long break, refreshing seeing people getting back into it now Check out the rides/locations thread,,,when you're validated post a topic in there to arrange a ride.
  16. Shim it...loctite it....bigger headset...leave it
  17. Ye did belong to Mr Kieran...now owned by a good friend of mine if anyone's interested in it...high spec dual disc one.
  18. Right...soooo been solidworks'in pretty much all afternoon and firing emails off to people to get their feedback. All the renderings are currently refusing to upload, bit I'll keep trying for anyone that cares
  19. Very strong loctite can also help...if it's cracking noises then in 80% sure its the headset bearings themselves.
  20. The short is amazing to ride....really loved my mates one. No cracks so far..but it is a super lightweight mod frame. Known to crack definitely, especially around the seat stays i think
  21. Truth... Rear Magura always on a stock....mod disc/magura on the rear.
