  1. Need a new tensioner.... A rohlhoff would be nice but I dont want to spend that much even though im aware they work well. A kingz would work but im finding it hard to justify spending £35 when I know they must make them for 50p, but could be done. Other option is a Mr. Control from Tarty, my mate has got one and has had no troulble with it but im just not sure if it will provide enough tension. Other suggestions? kingz? or Mr. Control?
  2. Is it me or is nearly everything scousertrials said completely idiotic? (judging from people's quotes of what he said) Phil
  3. Preety sure a 40 year old wouldn't spell 'some' as 'sum' or 'again' as 'agen' Good work
  4. Only if your rims are drilled but get some proper rim tape. I got like 6 punctures in 2 weeks not realising it was the pressure of the tube pushing on the edges of the drill outs because of rubbish rim tape. Phil
  5. Just to make it clear DMR tension seekers are absolute crap! (incase you were considering one) Phil
  6. Looks to me alot like a t-rex. Preety sure it is one. Agreed that is proper dodgy. Description gives it away in my eyes. The problem I have with it is that if it was just a standard bike you might understand the person not knowing anything about it, but it looks like some work has been done on it so you would expect them to atleast have some trials general knowledge. Phil
  7. Looks very lush! Love the silver pictures, look awesome! This is my attempt to match, another t-rex BUT mine has some proper bodges!! I like it though (ignore the tensioner thing) Phil
  8. HAHA jesus im dense today! Took me like an hour before I realised what you were getting at! I thought you were highlighting the words that you thought made you sound clever haha :S Phil
  9. Well I was using this tensioner before but pushing upwards. When I got my new chain I couldn't get the right tension pushing upwards so went about finding a different way of making it push downwards. No problem with buying a new one. Was considering getting a 74 kingz but if I can save myself £35 don't see why not. Phil
  10. haha! Its not even ghetto! its err.... practical? Phil
  11. That how I've had it up to now, but since I got the KHE the links are slightly longer than my previous chain and I just had too much slack. Also when I did tension it up it rubbed on the bottom of my frame. If I had a different chain I would tension up as it gives more engagement of the chain to the rear cog. Phil haha yeah it is. But those piece of crap dmr tensioners wouldnt work properly otherwise. I also had to saw out the plastic of the roller to make it wide enough. The lightweight thing was a joke though. Phil
  12. Hmm true. I sidehop to the left anyway so doesn't make a difference Might keep it for a while, save £30! Phil
  13. Thought it could work, and it did.... Have tested it this afternoon. Advantages: - Cheap - Easy - Preety much invincible - Has a big hole in it so must be lightweight Disadvantages? (except for looking like a plank) Phil
  14. Cheers man, I know a moto rider who knows him I'll get him to put in a good word. Phil
  15. Fancy riding Hook Woods this saturday with some peeps weather prevailing. Who is the landowner who I phone to ask? Cheers guys Phil
  16. Untrue, did a whole comp yesterday with a xtr front, smooth rim and a touch of tar, just have to be careful how much you put on. As many people have said, the best combination for the back maggy is a harsh grind (angle grinded rim) then something like Koxx Browns (I use them) or Rock Pad Blues. This will work well in all weathers. Tar on a smooth rim will work wonders in the dry as far as power is concerned but if its raining loads you'll be screwed. Infact if you want to do anytihng: wet weather + smooth rim = very very bad. Phil
  17. Haha! Same, I'm going to start practising natural alot more now after the last couple of trials. Hook wood on sunday was epic fun though! If you could make it me and some guys might ride Hook Woods again this weekend? Phil
