Ha looks preety nice! You really want to be investing in a decent crankset and chain ring. I had the same cranks as you when I first got my T-Rex and destroyed them. Would recommend Middleburns Rs7's, got them ages ago and never looked back. It isn't really worth spending more money on the crankset you have they will break again and again. If you can gather together the money go for middleburns or similar (mine were £37 posted - invincible) Hope this helps abit Phil

Going back abit...... I agree. Although I think they are a bunch of twats it isn't really anything new. Even the Romans used to complain about degenerative youth. Phil

I think I have hit my knee on my stem once too many times. I hit my knee every so often on the stem, it really hurts but wares off. I smacked it last night and spent the whole of today running about on the beach. On the train back I went to sit down and a really sharp pain came about all over my knee cap. When I place any force on my knee when my leg is at 90 degree it hurts alot however when walking I can't feel it. Knees often get abit cranky but when I place my hand on my knee and move it I can feel a big change as the leg moves up and down. Considering going to the doctors at some point as I never really get problems with stuff like this. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Phil

Right, need to get my stuff ordererd tonight so have a couple of questions... HS33, preety dead grind, can use tar, need for dry and slightly wet conditions: Which pads Koxx browns, Koxx greens or Plazmatics? Maxxis Highroller 2.5 or Maxxis Hansventure? cheers, Phil

And think yourself lucky I was nice enough to let you use my spare cross over! haha Phil

I think a trials rider with a back gaurd, body suit, elbow pads or a full face would look ridiculous Isn't really necersarry in the sport because allthough some people do ridiculous things, for example the likes of damon watson, they don't use protection, they built up to that level of danger overtime. At this time of the year would be seriously uncomfortable, adds extra weight etccccccc Stacks will always happen and can't be avoided, it's a part of trials. From watching so many stack videos its clear the main procaution is to have a decent chain, a decent brake setup and not be a complete nutter trying stuff miles out of your league. (not saying don't push yourself) Just some thoughts, Phil

Good stuff, liked the second gap to front where the wheelswitch was kept. Anywho, guy on the onza, what pads you using and on what grind? Makes a damn sweet sound Cheers, Phil

This is a little afternoon session we had in our garden trials course. Was abit of fun really! Proper street video to follow soon. Cheers, Phil

Not quuiiite because most pressure is put on the wheel vertically not hozizontally so leverage isn't really an issue. But I'd have to presume the same, if all the same components were used and the only difference was the diameter of the wheel I suppose a mod wheel would be stronger. It is properly hard to explain but it would be more compact? Phil

I'm guessing the police would have no mercy if you actually hurt someone whilst riding. Personally I try to avoid really populated areas and wait for as long as it takes until people have gone by but once in the old days, riding my azonic steelhead, I sidehopped down some stairs and couldn't see behind me and this chav came out of no where and I landed on his foot. Was quite comical but he was preety pissed off. Phil

Cheers. Angle grinder isn't an option so im going to have to go for the file straight off. Phil

I've got a pair of Joy pads which are preety unevenly worn but still have alot of pad left to play around with. Whats the best way to even them? I'm currently trying sandpaper - doesn't seem to efficient. cheers,Phil

Wouldn't go mental about it but I agree. Don't think about tapping think about getting up the wall. I only learnt to tap recently and I didn't do it by saying 'I'm going to tap this'. Taps just happen as a part of progressing in climbing IMO Phil

Nahhh. Bars arent an issue. Its the drivetrain he should be looking out for. New pads is a good call though, alternatively tar it up. Booster isn't 100% necersarry at first but for the record Echo 4 bolts suit the bike well. Good point. But to be fair bad stuff might happen. For example before I upgraded my Spec 1. When I tried to gap and the casette snapped. Tried to gap and the stem snapped off midair. Chain snappage - very normal but shouldnt have snapped when it did. Spending 3 weeks riding with the front cog rubbing on my frame because the whole crank bent falling to bash. Guess thats some explanation to why I said the parts I did. Phil

Aha I remember putting up this exact thread once. Firstly you need new Cranks, the ones on it are a pile of piss. Go for a set of 22t middleburns, second hand around £35 - £40. Secondly Go singlespeed at some point - shouldn't be too costly, keep the derailer jsut get a cog and some spacers, I reccomend 22:18 New pedals would be handly - I killed the vp's in not long atall. A new chain. All that should come in at under £100 if your cost effective. Such a nice frame the old T-Rex, I've got one and its cains the likes of my mates Toxin 2. Hope this is useful. Phil

A full magura will never cost that much. £65 + £15 for some decent pads is £80 and you can't really add in the price of a booster as im presuming you don't get a booster with the Echo. But if you got the money Echo all the way I feel like destroying all magura levers - pain in the arse! Phil
-
26" has got to be 22:18 - no doubt! Allthough at the moment for variou reasons im running 22:16, too heavy, but awesome on the pedal gaps. Phil

Steady on. Animal cruelty is nothing in comparison (IMO) when you look at the fact we are actually moral creatures unlike the likes of dogs and cats. Phil

Not sure what you are implying as sounded preety genuine what you said. Would be alot better if you were being sarcastic. Atleast would mean you weren't a sick piece of sh*t. Phil
