yea, i like dolgellau, but then thats cos i spent so much time round there as a youth, i know all the cool places. to go. it depends what your into really. id avoid barmouth, an stay in fairbourne, quieter, nice beach, and its got places like this. Friog lake which are just real quiet unknown places(u have to enter into the lake by a tunnel, and its really nice just being in there chillin in the sun, as your the only people in there, if your so inclined, the waters always majorly warm too. 4 miles in land from theres, theres an awesome little pub/restaurant, with tables outside that overlook the river, sittin there with a bottle of wine one evening watchin the seals come up the river. as the sun goes down, is practically guaranteed romance in a £20 bar meal. the george inn. theres a couple of campsites in fairbourne, all of which are ok. can recommend you a nice one in dolgellau, on the side of the river, with an ancient abbey built into it( my mum owns a static caravan on the site) if you choose to stay around that area, let us know, i can throw you reams and reams of information about places to do, things to see, where to eat etc. as you travel town, newquay in south wales is a real nice place to stay.other than that, im out of info.

yea, but.... crucially ive nicked this girl back off him, so ive been a bit of a wanker about it, i just didnt realise shed been seeing him on the sly, as well as seeing me on the sly. the fact he nicked a girl i was in the process of getting with is water under the bridge, im a twat when it comes to girls generally. and i generally lose interest, if he liked her, he should of gone for it, cos there was every chance id of started watching lost or summit and ignored her for like 3 weeks ( as in im sure he got in there, cos id gone like 3 weeks without seein her), Its more the fact that this girl has played us both for fools. hes cheated on his bird, but thats life and is irrelevant, me an him have both been twats, but neither of us can admit it. she spent last night askin me to come over cos she was horny, with recent events i didnt, then despite her telling my mate he was a lieing cheating scumbag, he picked her up from the pub, and went back to hers, like a chump. wether he knows that an hour earlier she was asking the same from me is unknown, do i spill the beans and we both get a lil arsey with each other, then fck her right off, an go for a pint. keep totally quiet about the whole thing, as if shed never told me, but not speak to her again, or pretend ive never found sh*t out and go on blissfully unaware/ -

been played hook line and sinker, could of turned out way worse like. but yea. girls are c*nts. my mate slept with a girl about 5 years ago, who was mighty fine, whilst he was between relationships, i know hed been back for some more meaningless sex a year or so later. but thats all it was, he never wanted to date or go out with her. for the last 3 years, on and off, ive been seeing her, not behind his back, since he has a gf, (and the girl he tried to get with to replace his current girlfriend, was a girl he kinda stole off me, when i lapsed on seeing her for a month or so) but wever never really spoke of it, partly because he didnt care, partly cos i dont go making a habit of tellin everyone my dirty little secrets, when theres people in our circle of friends, whod id like to date. he knew what was goin on, and wasnt overly arsed with it, but he didnt know it was still goin on, or how often it had gone on. last weekend he let it slip he was textin her(borrowed a mates phone to text her, when his was dead), she at this point told me hed just started texting her. I then found out shed been round to his flat 2 weeks ago whilst his gf was away, although nothing happened, and that every night this week hes been to see her for several hours a night, and last night, as his parents where away, he payed his bro to feck off out, so he could take her back to his rents(alltough again aparently nothing happened) now turns out, he has been seeing her on the sly, for the past 3 years. and shes screwed us over royally. I cant tell him, because its like im nicking his bit on the side, he cant tell me, because he then tells me hes been cheatin on his gf. thankfully, as she turned him down for sex last night, hes currently ignorin her, and hopefully thatll be that, but it was lookin on wednesday/thursday like they were gunna get together, and that couldnt of been pretty,. the girl id been seeing on the quiet for 3 years, who had also been seeing my mate on the quiet for the same amount of time, living with my mate. Or what if id of got with her, would she still of been seein him on the sly, would he of just straight up told me she was a hoe, or what ? but yea, to summarise, some girls are c*nts. -
pretty much the same as simps, for the last couple of days, first thing i was doing when i came on here was to check this thread hoping wed be hearing he was off life support. RIP mate. Ive been sat here for a while trying to find something constructive to say, but there isnt anything you can say really, lifes just shit at times. Condolences go out to family, mates and fellow riders.

Salfords not really rough rough imo, theres rougher places out there, ive spent loadsa time in manchester over the past 5 years, and got mates in salford uni, as well as mates living in salford. and it dont deserve the rep it gets. my mates halls where in a rough area, we called them the concentration camp as they where surrounded by 15 foot fences, that were guarded, and it was no entry unless you had a fob or someone with a fob to sign you in. which sounds grim, but in reality, it means your halls are safe as fook,as is your car if its parked in there. nightlife, i wouldnt go out drinking in salford really, save for a couple of places, but do as every other student does, and just go into manchester city centre, where the night life is mint, and its only as rough as any other city in the uk. girls, well theres as many of them as in other uk cities, and lets be honest, its not how many there are, because once youve found the one your set for life. i wouldnt advise walking round salford itself at 3 in your morning, unless your a little nuts, but then i wouldnt advise walking round many places at 3 in the morning unless your a little bit tapped. and the roughest places generally aint that bad at night, when mates lived 200 metres from moss side(supposedly the roughest bit of manchester), id regularaly traipse in alone at 4am, and never had any aggro. yet when ive been walking home from sale (supposedly a much nicer part of manchester) at a similar time, ive had people try an mug me twice. but realistically town isnt walking distance, so you either bus or taxi back to your halls. in the day time, obviously you may well be walking to lectures, but providing you aint walkin round with fiddy's hanging out your wallet, you will more than likely be fine, none of my mates at salford uni have had any issue, im sure youll find theres some streets you should avoid, but you get that everywhere.

you are aware if you do the new dash update, you can use any usb stick, as a memory card, my unofficial hd corrupted, so after a chat with the lad in gamestation, i went home, did the system update, copied all me saved games to usb stick, formatted my hard drive, and then transferred them back to the hard drive. if you do the same, but swap from small to large hard drive, before transferring back, its happy days. if you dont have a usb stick, my local gamestation where selling 4gb ones pre loaded with black hawk down the movie on, for £2.99. which will work out cheaper than posting a transfer kit .

you cant be bothered selling it, when its worth £1000, you sir, either a) have more money than sense, or are a complete tit (personally im guessing maybe your a lil of both). but seriously, if anyones offered you £1k for it, snatch their hand off, generally the irish plates are worth about feck all(like £150 in a private sale) thats mine, payed £350 for it, aint got a clue what its worth now. id like to think more than that.

look at all you stuck up idiots, not pround to be british bulldogs, your a disgrace to your country, shouldnt be allowed to call yourself english unless your willing to go watch the football and cheer for our country. Personally im just learning all the words to my favourite football songs, hopefully i should have learnt all the words to "lets go f*cking mental" by the end of the day. nah, see i enjoy watching football, and being in the pub, so combining the 2 activities is generally a good one. However eveyrones temporary national pride is slightly annoying. everyones willing to fly daft flags on the car for 3 week periods, and talk about how great great britain is these days, till we go down 3-2 in the quarters, and they then go back to hating the government, and calling britain sh*t once more.

I like the idea of it, im just a little bit scared of sticking something up my ass. I kinda view it as a one way system, that and a girl we know called lowry brown finger(for the following reason funnily enough) is really into sticking her fingers up lads assholes, but has lost more than 1 false nail in her time.

yea, pacha is now €60 entry, and €23 for a vodbull

which is a shame, because i wanted to get mashed and listen to sash this summer. erm, budget is the major thing, and secondly why your going/who your going with/what your after. 18-30's are owned by thomas cook, so check the clubbing section of thomas cooks site for the best deals(last year they appeared better than on the 18-30 site, even though it was the same holiday) with regards budget, if your lookin at going out, getting mashed every night, and dont have much to spend, avoid ibiza (im factoring £250 a night for when im out there). are you going to go out every night? or go clubbing at world famous venues once or twice, you lookin to sleep with an orange faced essex slag(and i dont mean simps) out there, or chill with mates by the pool?? 18-30's great in the sense that you get a load of beer down you, a load of lairy nights, your never the drunkest, and theres a bunch of girls to sleep with. however its also full of knobheads(im probably one of them), with 2 front teeth, an asbo and a tribal tattoo, who are just loud and annoying.and you wont get enough sleep, its also quite over priced(im payin £400 for a bed and a room for a week, for £490 i could go all inclusive in a better hotel, for 2 weeks with a sensible tour operator) but your paying quite a bit for the fact that the holidays there for you to be lairy.

Also, i think a lot of people may be understimating your modern bike thief. The way I see it, theres 2 types of thieves. Those that do it to feed a habit/for small cash as kids. so theyll be stealing whatever, then flogging it for like £50 for drugs/ new trainers. In which case it may well be in a canal/sprayed with rattle cans being rode round to deliver rocks on. Or its stolen by those people who do it for a job. If i was to steal anything like that id choose something i knew about (so bikes, air rifles, motocross bikes etc) and then id either sell it in bit form. or id swap bits round with another bike id stolen, and sell both bikes off, you wouldnt know it was your bike on ebay, if it had different forks, wheels, cranks, seat etc on it, and neither would the bloke looking for his mint condition santa cruz, when its got oem forks off an 07 scott on it. and theyd sell for what they where worth, or just sell it on complete as kris says for less than its worth(or alternatively sell it on the pinkbike french classifieds etc)

erm, manchester aquatics centre NCP, itll show on a sat nav as booth street, which cuts across oxford road, i think its like 1 or 2 streets down from cavendish. not really sure which street cavendish is, but think its opposite scu bar(sure someone local will tell you, i only know the streets with boozers on) in which case its only like a 2 minute ride/4 minute walk from car park to where you wanna be. from memory the aquatics centre ncp is like £5.50 for 8 or 10 hours. which is easily gunna be long enough. (and it aint worth arsing round finding somewhere cheaper for the sake of savin £1)

theres a kona dawg deluxe in about the right size for you in the for sale section, with forks etc. nick some bits off my spare jump bike, use your front wheel. an your only really gunna be missing wheels, etc. or if your feeling flush, second hand specialized pitch/ commencal 5.whatever, felt compulsion, etc just dont get a trek remedy, or you wont be seeing lizzie again.

It totally shocks me how anyone could consider riding fully rigid, yet i see a few on my local haunts flying past me. although thats always on the climbs, and everyone flies past me on the climbs. Do a lot of the people that ride them, just ride the climbs of trails, then use fireroads etc to get back down?? or do they just descend at like 4 mph?? Because I ride full sus, (because im fat, and its my excuse for going slow) and i wouldnt say im the balliest, or most profficient rider, but generally ill outpace most of my mates/random groups of hardtail riders you come across, on all the downhills. and i put this purely down to my 6 inches or so of rear end travel, meaning i can put in pedal strokes where they are trying to pick lines and dont have to anchor on as early on the really bumpy stuff. I can only imagine with rigids at the front, this is about 10 times worse?

yea but none of the,m are actually addressing the issue youve got, which is lack of power at lower revs. all the things above will increase power, but only at the top end of the rev range, where youve already explained your van is fine at. The decat will allow a free-er flow of gases through the exhaust system, but at lower revs that isnt gunna do anything worth talking about, and is £40. ive never heard of an AAZ pump, but then im an idiot. but crucially, unless youve got a problem with there being not enough fuel being available to the pump, an extra/more poweful inline pump wont help, and if it was an issue with not enough fuel being available to the pump, then youd see worse performance at higher revs, which your not, your issues are all low down. adjusting the wastegate actuator has already been discussed, and wont do jack till the turbo stops boosting at whatever revs the power drops off in your van at(dont know, 4100-4200 rpm maybe), at that point, youll get more power for an extra couple of hundred rpm. your intercooler idea, is again, a bit of a waste, since the idea of an intercooler is to cool the compressed air from the inlet side of the turbo(since pressure causes an increase in heat, the charged air will be warmer than the air outside) but again until you get to the top end of the rev range, i doubt youll notice a difference. (since till you reach the speed the turbo spools at, there will be no extra heat, and at lower revs, where the turbo has kicked in, your not going to be getting much of a pressure(heat) increase. then by the time youve took away the drawbacks of the elongated passage the air has to travel to pass through the intercooler, your back at square one (and if the intercooler is placed atop the engine, like on the 2.5 tdi's, you may actually be increasing the temperature of the air, by having the heat exchange taking place right above a hot engine.

Dream Day In Your Dream Car Or A Day With Her.
Fish-Finger-er replied to Simpson's topic in Chit Chat
your clearly doing it wrong then... as if you get to go for a rag in an old scooby an take it down to a nice long sweeping fireroad bend and manage to get it to slide round, front corner about 6 inches from the apex, bit of opposite lock as you just let off for a split second for her to straighten up on exit, then that feels every bit as nice.. in all seriousness it all depends what you talking about, if your on about taking a "dream " car (i.e the usual lambo, ferrari generic supercar crap) for a drive round manchester city centre for a day so every one can look and think "gee, hes a rich c*nt". then id choose 20 minutes with a moderately attractive ex over that. But if your talking about giving me a day in say hafren forest, with a couple of group N or WRC spec cars. an that girl would have to be something special, an know the colonels secret blend of herbs an spices for cooking s meal first, before id even consider sleeping with her. -
erm,if your concerned about safety, start with dumbell presses, in fact id possibly recommend a few weeks of it to build the stabilizing muscles(the reason your struggling with a lower weight on the bar on the machine, your pushing one way, and not having to stop the bar going back/forwards/side to side/ tilting) other stuff people I used to lift with used to do wrong when benching/spotted me doing wrong. grip: sink the bar into your palm, so it crosses where your thumb joins your hand, then wrap your hand and your fingers round it. position on the bench: get right up so your shoulders are practically touching the rack, otherwise your having to stretch too far back when gettng the weight out of the rack, also means its easier for getting it back in the rack should you struggle during a set/ just generally at the end of the set. feet: get them planted on the floor, pointing straight forwards, about shoulder width apart, dont keep them together, dont lift them up, although there planted, dont try an use them to lift ur ass off the bench to make the lift that bit easier. wouldnt bother getting classes, just get in the gym, an ask a guy to spot for you, most will oblige(as its a manly thing to do), you might feel like a tit the first time, but chances are theyll chuck you a bunch of tips to improve your form, and when you got a stranger spotting for you, man pride always means you push yourself till your ready to pass out.. question to TF, is pain in the lower hip/upper leg common when squattin, or am i tard with poor form? .

goin ibiza in july with mates. then some more chilled out mates an me are hoping to go sharm el sheikh in late august/early september, although thats up in the air, as atm its the 4 of us that went france and then maybe some others, but the others arent confirmed as of yet. then i either want to do canada for 2 weeks in january again(as it was boss this year), or mexico for spring break in march. ~ Of course if sharm el sheikh falls through, then ive got 4 weeks leave. which means i can do both of the above. or do canada for a month, or possibly sack them both off an hit australia for a month.

cant really offer much advise on this, as when i hounded the gym, i didnt give a sh*t about cardio, since ive now started caring about getting in shape, im riding the mountain bike as much as i can, but need to start jogging. however, avoid maximuscle like the plague, a better alternative for a similar cost, is buying other proteins(nutrisport 90+, reflex, optimum gold standard, met rx etc) and burning your left over cash. seriously maximuscle stuff is overpriced beyond belief.. If your not really looking to drop weight,or are struggling with maintaining weight/building muscle, whilst your doin your cardio, then consider gettin some protein with carbs, as its a lot cheaper, however, you generally only get the same protein per £ spent. healthy snacks all depend on how your eating, if your trying to drop weight, i suggest going to tescos, and buying there various flavours of cooked sliced chicken chunks, in the 2 for £4 packs, generally pretty nice flavours, easy to digest, high in protein, low in calories. if your wanting more calories, then things like honey and mustard chicken pasta, (made with the plain tesco value sliced chicken), tuna mayo, etc.or sticking then above sliced chicken into wraps/sandwiches. when im trying to drop weight, as i am at the moment, i tend to have sliced chicken around, and everything else, should need preparation before you eat it. that way its not just a grab and eat thing, its a case of going to the effort of sticking the grill/george fornby on, going back a few minutes later, sticking the food in the thing. cooking it, job done(thats the issue with stuff like cereal bars, there so easy to just munch in the kitchen every time you walk past). stuff like reggae reggae chicken chargrills are sensational, and not exactly bad for you.

See, im a bit unsure on this whole gordo browns letters to soldiers families thing, in some ways its a bit crap that he cant right properly, and makes spelling mistakes, but if they are genuine letters, it also shows that he took the time to hand write a letter to the families on an individual basis, as opposed to having some pre typed word document his secretary prints off and he just signs everytime a soldier dies. the fact that the man takes the time to write these letters should be acknowledged, Did maggie write letters to the family of every soldier that died fighting over a small island with crappy weather thats populated by 100 times more sheep than people that no one gives a feck about when she led us to war there for no good reason.
-
Id suggest beta or sherco, purely on the fact, that out of the lads i know that ride mototrials, no ones had any big problems with any of them. ive got a battered old 290, that just goes, and goes and goes, and my mates 250 thats a year older is the same. whereas fishy on here has a 125 scorpa(with a yamaha ttr bombproof engine, but it gives him problems) and ive got 3/4 mates with gas gas's that have gearbox problems(have to stall it to get it into neutral, cant change down with the engine running, rounded selector shafts)

yea, the pearson fight is showing just how he may be able to make it, but its an extremely hard weight class, not to mention, his grappling is, but hes by far one of my favourite fighters of the moment, hes got potential, but isnt arrogant in the way dan hardy is(as in imo, hardy isnt that big of a deal) roy nelson looked a lot better than he did in tuf, ive got tuf season 11 to watch yet, anyone got the fight night prelims, id be interested to see the andre winner fight too.
