  1. depends on a bunch of things, but if your an office worker, with a pretty big but musclefree frame, who hasnt trained before. a total gym noob who works a none manual job, can easily pack on 3lbs of muscle a month for the first 4 or 5 months if there eating right, training right and sleeping right. Obviously your age will play a big factor in how quick this muscle goes on, and also natural testosterone levels.
  2. boom, I'm laughing out loud right now. somehow got chatting to a girl the other week with seemingly no connection to anyone I know. exchanged numbers...fast forward a couple of weeks.. met her this week for a quick bite to eat, first sober meet. became quite clear she was a fan of the fake bake, but meh. got her email address out of her today, google searched that sh*t, 1st hit was an online dating website. no biggie...shes single...im single, nothing wrong with that. look at the pics. BANG...im dating a plastic pikey, lives in a house, but has proper traveller roots by the looks of her pics on there with family and friends.further down the list was her bebo profile. never seen so many transit vans. needless to say im not even adding her on facebook.
  3. yea, everyones body has a bodyfat level it doesnt like to under, and it fights to get back up, but if you can keep it there for a couple of months itll adjust to it. I generally hover around 15-20%, can get down to 15% and stay there quite comfortably, but as soon as i drop much below that(i.e about 12% 4 pack just starting to show when stood up normally) for any more than a week or 2, strength drops off, I always seem to get ill. and as a result it soon shoots back up. I used to say it(infact ive said it on here before im sure) if my body goes below about 14 stone, it just dont wanna play ball. although recently with a bit more muscle, its more like 14 stone 10. A few more days in, and i saw 235 on the scale this morning, thats 7lbs down. but as ogre says, nothing makes for easier strength gains than throwing loadsa food down your neck and being a bit tubbier than normal.

  5. thing is, its not much worse than previous years in a lot of places, its just because there was heavy snowfall in october, which has now gone, people have got a bit worried. was reading a thread on meribel, and one person whos lived there, has said the earliest they ever ski'd the lower runs has been like the 15th november. so there 2 weeks late at the moment, but its literally just a case of waiting for the first 15cm dump. we went to bulgaria last season, and it was whack. all the snow was man made up about 2100m. was literally nothing skiable in the trees. Really gets you in the mood to say f*ck it and just go canada.
  6. watching a few weather outlook threads as everywhere this side of the atlantic is looking a little green at the moment, and im hopefully going somewhere in 5 or 6 weeks. but temperatures have dropped the last couple of days, freezing level is now reasonably low. supposedly chance of snowfall sunday night and tuesday. although the chances of a half metre dump arent looking that likely right now. but who knows.

Jt, i hope they where next to nothing, as in sub $20, any more and you where robbed, they are literally worthless. there straight skis, wont be able to learn much on them that would pass over to better skis, I tried a pair on for laughs last time we had snow round here, and I could barely do anything on them, and im a fairly competent ski'er on modern ski's, ideally you want shaped skis, with around a 170cm length at a guess(im guessing your around 13ish stone) for sub $100 posted to duluth, ive just found some salomon X scream 700's with bindings, or some k2 omni sports with bindings. both of which would be a way better starting point for a few more dollars.
  8. erm, if your growing, but one parts lagging, swap out the incline bench, for tricep pull downs, time to isolate that bitch. Although if your throwing them 4 exercises in the same session, it could be that your hitting them too hard. I've just started back on the cardio again,as boys got fat. So far im down from 242 to 237, Reckon at a push i can make 220 by new year, then in march, ill join a gym again and hit the weights hard. in the mean time its just the odd pay as you go gym session, cardio, and a bit of training at home.

  13. im convinced macallister have 2 production lines, labelled "crap" and "brilliant" and everything just gets chucked in the same box. for some unknown reason we started getting macallister jigsaws through work, the first one worked fine for maybe 6 months, then met its end under a 18 tonne truck, the second one we got, lasted us about 2 weeks, and just became a paperweight. the third one is now knocking on for 5 years old, is used, abused, and lives in a workshop, used for cutting everything from steel, plastic, aluminium, hydraulic pipes(often full of oil, which then runs into the jigsaw), armoured cable, surrounded by brake dust, engine oil, etc and it just works.

  16. what are hard drives worth then?? ive got a 1tb one sat here doing nothing, also got a couple of 320gb notebook drives too. if there worth any sort of cash, let us know. its literally in my stack of "computer crap i dont use and will inevitably end up in the tip one day" pile
  17. right ive had a rummage and ill sell you this lot for £60 + postage(i know its worth more, i payed £40 for the ram 12 months ago, but its just sat cluttering up my room) amd phenom 9600 quad core processor Asrock nf5 sli 1394 mobo( + cpu cooler etc) 4gb ddr 2 800mhz 400w power supply lieteon dl dvdrw drive(lightscribe) 500gb maxtor harddrive - although i want you to format it before use, i aint got a clue whats on there. only point i cant come through on is the case, ive got a case, its yours if you want it, but its been pillaged, it has no screws, and is missing a side panel, so yes you can mount all your stuff in it, but it'd be wiser to just buy a £8 case off ebuyer. would then leave you money to buy something like a 8400gs, or a hd5450 for like £25 brand new. id do the same lot with the gtx460 for like £115 + postage. but as i say you will need a new psu, so the build will end up being more like £150.
  18. sorry to sale hijack, but ive got a quad core phenom 9600( 4 x 2.2) an asrock nf5-sli mobo, 4 gb of ddr2 ram, I can throw in a case, and a psu, if youd be interested. no graphics card, but I would for an extra few quid be willing to chuck my gtx460 in there, but in that case you'd need to get a new psu as well, as the psu is only 460w, and wouldnt power that graphics card(would power my old 8600gt fine)
  19. you dont understand the novelty of snow to us folk, you see it as a pain, i see it as a reason to pile 4 up in the beemer, complete with snowboards and skis hanging out the window, and drive sideways to the nearest deserted hill, build a lil jump and hike up and ski down it all day falling our ass repeatedly.

  21. obviously dont know your sizes of portions or total ingredients etc but looks a bit lean. at a guess fats a bit too low, as are the carbs. im counting 3 protein shakes, now dependant on how much is in each shake (1 or 2 scoops) id say thats too much. just counting on each shake being a pint, with 2 scoops in it. thats circa 125g of protein, 300g of chicken, thats another 120g, 4 eggs, thats another 25g,thats 260g of protein, which seems like too much to me. dont get me wrong, that diet is super healthy and will lean you out no end, i just dont see you packing on much muscle with it. but obviously its down to serving size.
