  1. When you report, does it actualy report the post or just the topic?

    How To?

07/08 Pro 2s were assembled with light oil instead of grease anyway, so all you need to do is buy one and smile.
  3. I'll measure up my Surley for you if you want? The arms a lot longer than a Rohloff though.
  4. Make it bolt on through the hub bolt, it's the best sytem.

Did you happen to ask if they'd be coming in anodised orange? Similar to the Atomz rims? Weight/price dependant, I might get a set, dunno if I can be bothered though haha.
  6. I'm pretty sure it was originally because they used BMX rear hubs, so if you had a screw-on rear sprocket and a front freewheel the gap between the chain and the stays was smaller, so if you landed on it you had less chance of snapping it. EDIT: It actually lighter overall to have a rear freehub, or it was when I last added it up, which was before the Try-All H hubs came out.
  7. Great success, looks pretty mint now. If you got a white rear rim aswell it'd be sweet.
  8. I'm just going off what I've got here, my Deore mech has nowhere near as much tension before it bottoms out as my Surley tensioner, and my Surley slaps quite a bit.

What we really want to know is, when are the new Try-All rims coming out?
  10. I've had 6 mono Trials up to now, not because they broke though! My brother has a Louise FR, he loves it but I'm not too keen, it's too stiff at the lever for me and the bite is really harsh compared to my Hopes.
  11. I reckon the warns are used too much at the moment, but they arn't severe enough, no-one really cares if they get warned because it's only a 1 day ban per 10%. (I think). Make it more like 3/4 days per 10% and people will be much less likely to start arguments or whatever.
  12. Yeh I knew the one, I just don't reckon it'd be strong enough, (I've got a Deore mech here, it's a bit pansy-ish). With a shorter cage though, there'd be a smaller leverage so effectively the tensioner would give more tension. I think.
  13. I've got a 1988 Yamaha TY250R, imagine a 2005 GasGas not being good enough. My Yam is good enough for me, I could have upgraded it all last year, I had the money in the bank, but it's just too much fun.
  14. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_To_...c_Mount_Adapter Made that in the Wiki a while a go, it should tell you pretty much all you need to know.
  15. No, I meant the spring wouldn't be stiff enough, so it wouldn't give enough tension.
  16. Because it wouldn't be anywhere near strong/stiff enough.
  17. Mike's got the score! WTF?! You are so spoilt if you think your getting all that.
  18. Looks sweet Inur, 9.2? That's light enough dude, mine's 10.8 at the moment. :$
  19. I've found lockring pliers almost impossible to strip a freewheel with, I put the crank arm in a vice and use a center punch to knock the lockring round, but I can't remember if it's a left hand thread or not.
  20. Because whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about. Just try and keep the springs and the pawls in the same order and in the right pairs.
  21. My brothers did that because it was packed full of grease, open it up, clean it out and put it back together with WD40, should sort it.
  22. Two years ago Tarty ordered a load of Mod Pro 2s from Hope and it never got done.
  23. I thought they would, but I've been doing it every year for 6 years and it hasn't died yet.
