Thanks for sharing, all stuff I should know really. (Being into climbing, walking, mountaineering etc).
  2. Eh? No-one have said they haven't liked it, and not one person has not had anything good to say. Reading between the lines, each comment has actually said something along the lines of "Not bad, but not great".
  3. Felt this way about all of this series so far. And all of the last one actually...
  4. Website is borked, lul. EDIT: Now it works, just very very slowly.
  5. I have the same issue, missing a big piece of one of my front teeth. Building it up with filling worked fine until I bashed it on something. Usually they lasted 4/5 years before I'd wack it on something else. I last broke it off about 2 years ago, can't be arsed getting it sorted again. It's £50 a time and I manage fine without it.
  6. Twas alright, I was a bit disappointed they used the Mustang though. They're impressive but clearly a worse GT car than a Rover 200. Clarkson usually turns up in whatever is the fastest thing on the planet at that moment. Hammond said it was about 10 years since the last big race, it wasn't at all, it was in December 2005. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it though. I especially liked the bits when Amy Macdonald was speaking. Mmmmmm...
  7. Similar story, registered in Derbyshire, moved to Sheffield 3 years ago and have been once since. Really should get it sorted...
  8. Prawn is the Stig's American cousin!
  9. The shit you choose to believe never ceases to amaze me. You honestly think some youtube nutcase is worth believing over the research done by countless universities and medical research facilities?
  10. Big race tonight apparently. This pleases me. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=289029237892721&set=a.235968186532160.53572.175283669267279&type=1&relevant_count=1

    The Angry Thread.

Sounds like my ideal place to live to be honest.
  12. What has a straight couple's divorce hundreds of years ago got to do with gay marriages in 2013?
  13. No idillic ideas here, I'm merely pointing out that even Catholicism isn't always as bad as everyone makes out. At the core of it I agree, it's a terrible institution, but I'm simply pointing out that decent congregations do exist.
  14. I'm from a catholic family so I've been to several masses over the years (not the weekly ones, just the special Christmas ones), and that wasn't my understanding of how things work. Maybe my Grandparent's church is just a very "modern" catholic church, who knows. My last line is certainly not bullshit, but I can how you could have mis-interpreted it, as it wasn't clear. I meant that if you go to confession, and tell the priest that you shagged your brother's wife but that you've done everything you can to make it right, he will often forgive your sin. Some churches are fear-driven I agree, but not the one I went to, if I was never scared when I was at primary school age, then how can it be fear-based? The main thing I took was was that being a decent person is a good thing no matter how you measure it.
  15. Pretty much, unless you do some really awful stuff like murder or rape. If you nick off with your brother's wife though, as long as he forgives you then you can consider yourself "repented". I think it's more to do with making an effort to make up for what you've done rather than just say you're sorry. It's one of the only things I admire about Catholics over some other denominations, remorse isn't enough alone, you need to try to fix what you've done as well. That's not to say you'll go to hell if you can't fix your sins, if you make the effort but the person you've wronged won't forgive you, then there's not much more you can do.
  16. Not really, you can go through life committing a few sins here and there but if you repent them and feel sorry for what you've done then you'll be forgiven. Just based on my knowledge of general Christian teaching (I went to a school that didn't stick to one denomination and just taught us general Christianity stuff). If you live a life of sin, I.E: causing harm to people a lot and not caring about it, or if it was for personal gain, then you'll go to hell. If your sins were justifiable or just low in numbers and you regretted it afterwards, then you won't. They teach that although sins are not allowed, all people sin from time to time, and that any person can be saved if they repent their sins and in some cases, try to make up for them. This is why confession exists, so that people can get advice from the vicar anonymously on how to better themselves. So basically, unless you're a total scumbag, there's nothing to be scared of.
  17. Nope, I'm a strong atheist, I just think that you're talking bollocks. Not sure about some religions, but in the case of Christianity and Islam (I think), they teach followers to be compassionate and to lead a good life. Some teachers (vicars, bishops, all that shit) use fear, but the religions themselves do not. I do believe in a simple form of Karma though, in that if you treat your friends and family well, when you need them, they'll help you. (Not in the sense of some unseen presence controlling my shit).
  18. Total sarcasm, not because it was MMA though, just because of how hard he got booted.
  19. Also, seeing as you've just signed up I'm guessing you're after a motorbike trials forum? This forum is only for bike trials, you want trialscentral.com.
  20. Nah he survived, but he ended up in hospital having his brain scanned. (Surprisingly).
  21. Yeh, the dudes face when he realises that the other guy isn't getting up is pretty heart wrenching...
