Seems like it may be worth a shot. Has anyone used Cartridge World? http://www.cartridgeworld.co.uk There's one just up the road. Might be worth a punt...

I hate printers, as do most nerds. They're shit nearly all the time, but unfortunately I've used my new one enough in the last few weeks to empty the black cartridge. Do the recycled/refilled ones actually offer some kind of saving, or are they just a fad?

Bloke + turbo + borrowed tyres? Doesn't matter who he is really.

Good man Ed. Bad news about the van though!

Especially seeing as they know you'll be driving everywhere shouting "TUUURRRBBBBBOOOOOOOO".

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread

Man up you daft bint, what's the worse that can happen? You might get friend zoned, which would make you better off than you are now? Just sieze the opportunity. It's likely nothing will happen with her to be honest (most encounters fail, really), but getting to be mates with her may well lead on to meeting other people and other prospective ladies. -
You didn't ask a question though?

Well according to my internet research, all American women are porn stars, so just walk up to the counter and point a camera at her, job done. -
Oooohhhhhh, let's not even start that one dude. Can we just agree that in certain situations that statement is true, but in others, untrue?

Is that spinning up Nick, or just pulling clean? Either way, oh my.

What powers the replicators? I'm guessing energy has to be found from somewhere, so people will still have to work. Nothing will change IMO, people on benefits will still bum around leeching from society, the rest of us will still do stuff that brings us satisfaction (work). For 90% of the population, I reckon it'll simply remove the stress of dealing with things. When you think about it, there are two kinds of work, there is the kind you repeat constantly just to stay alive, like eating, cleaning, shopping, pooing, etc, then there is the other kind where you create new stuff, do new things or learn new things. You'll still have to work hard to get good at riding trials, or to create/modify new parts, you'll just be able to replace the whole bike every time it breaks.

Clearly hadn't read this safety guide that Petzl released. http://www.petzl.com/files/fckfiles/file/PetzlAmerica/Holiday_Tech_Notice/Holiday%20Tech%20Notice.pdf

Can be used for climbing in the same way flip-flops can, but their main use is for training for barefoot running. For most climbing purposes they're rubbish, because the rubber isn't very sticky (more hard wearing, for running), and more importantly they don't offer any support. Climbing shoes offer silly amounts of support, especially with stiff shoes like mine, so that your feet don't hurt when you stand up on your toes or stuff them into cracks.

Sounds like a bit of a scumbag... Is there still talk of just wacking a standard/lower spec engine in there? Would be a shame but at least it would be moving I guess. Having said that, I don't think I would. It would be like giving up and taking the easy option, IMO if you guys were to stick with the legal stuff or to stump up yet more cash, or get funding from somewhere else then the build would mean more in a way. It wouldn't just be Oli's mini, it'd be Oli's mini that got finished even after 5 years of heartache. That said though, you've been through enough now and I'm sure Oli wouldn't mind too much if it ended up a lower spec than he intended, you've tried enough already!
-
Yo Prawn, any answer on this? Looks like it got missed, posted in Oli's Mini thread earlier. Just interested to hear where the story is up to to be honest.
-
Any news yet? If the legal stuff is still going on, hugs to you all. A battle would be hard enough, a 5 year one is too much.

Get some pics up then, title says! This is my 'sled'. My 88 Yamaha TY250R. Had it since I was 15. (So over 6 years). Now has a front drum brake (cheap fix after I killed the disc, turns out it's far better than the disc ever was), different silencer, chain and sprockets and looks a lot more bashed up, but it's largely not changed since then. It has seen the light of day twice this year, but not for well over a year before then. I'm rubbish. Just waiting for the day when we can afford a house with a garage and I'll be bringing her home. Need a car as well really...

Hannspree, which was what Hanns.G called themselves for a year or so before switching back. Just means these are dirt cheap now, had one from 2010, then earlier this year bought the other two on ebay. £110 and £140 posted. Heard about those korean ones. They supposed to be pretty good quality, but the warranty is ever so slightly flaky...
