  1. definitely! you cant go wrong aslong as the brake is set up and bedded in properly, it will work amazingly that is provided you get a hope or a decent brake, i had an echo and that wasnt bad after it bedded in, was much better with some hope pro pads in.
  2. yo, iv just made the switch back to a maggy, after riding nothing but dual disc on my recent bikes, i love running rear disc, providing its set up right, you get great modulation, amazing hold and you really can fit it and forget about any worries. to be fair the only reason iv gone back to maggy is so i can run a king hub again i would in an ideal world run a king with a disc but its alot of hassle, not to mention alot of weight to have over your rear axle give disc a go, you wont be disappointed, but definitely get a hope either mono trial or a v2(iv used both on the rear and there both great)
  3. geo looks pretty good, cant say im that keen on the looks, but as with every bionic frame they are amazing value for money so you cant really go wrong, go for it
  4. dont think any bash plates available at the moment will fit your megamo frame anyway, had trouble finding one when i built up my equip a while ago. best bet would be to ditch it and get a ring, itll do less damage to walls ) and save a bunch of weight
  5. so good, thoroughly enjoyed that, good to see someone doing something so different
  6. i have the 2011 b5r, geo on that is 1000wb 350cs +90bb feels so good to ride, exactly the same geo as the sky 2 lighter than the sky 2 aswell at 1350g would thoroughly recommend it
  7. youd be surprised, the shop i work at, we have sold customers frames, suspension forks, clothing etc for cyclescheme vouchers, alot of shops will be able to bend the rules slightly for you, at the end of the day, business is business. look for any shop that sells haro or premium bmx's. theyll have an account with moore large, who distribute onza, cant see any shops being able to get hold of anything else to be fair
  8. What? I'm saying surely in your system there will be the guys details? If you're that intent on taking him out for dinner, give him a ring?
  9. just tried mono trial pads in my v2, they fit perfectly but because the v2 doesnt have magnetic pistons youll need a pad spring from your old pads, but to be fair i ran it on the rear with a 160 and it was amazing, so much hold
  10. iv used a v2 on the front and rear of my mod, never had any problems power wise, just as powerful as a mono trial, padwise, i dont think mono trial pads will fit, from the looks of things. both of my brakes are off my bike so ill swap the mono trial pads into the v2 quickly to see. bled properly, faced and bedded in the v2s are so powerful
  11. any more info you can give us ad, price? release date?
  12. that token one is internal and is the same as montys, megamos and atomz use so thats gonna be the one, the campagnolo 45/45 headsets dont use cups, the bearings just sit in the frame, the same as a bmx headset, and also used on road/track frames. best bet is get the picture of the headtube to be sure, youll be able to tell from that
  13. im pretty sure i have a cracked lever body with a piston still in it, ill have a look man
  14. yeah you can get bbs where the cups thread onto the bb as opposed to the frame threads, used them in work a few times on repairs where theyv been installed wrongly and nackerd the threads, only ever seen them in square taper though, never isis. http://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/m13b199s110p3339/YST_Threadless_Catridge_BB/RS_GB/7379 such as this one
  15. either, ride around dragging the brakes to get them very hot and then pour on water or pour on boiling water out the kettle, then drag brakes whilst riding round personally i do the latter, works really well
  16. pads and rebleed and theres no reason your hope shouldnt be anything less than amazing
  17. im local so if anyones ridin there, drop me a pm
  18. lol, classic pinkbike, if the kids arent offering you ps2s as swaps for your bikes, they are writing this kind of stuff, does make for amusing reading i suppose.
  19. hope v2s are very good for trials,i use one on the rear. still prefer hope mono trials though, i have a front mono trial for sale, iv pm'd you man

  21. iv always ran 175 cranks on mod, feel like you get a bit more power from the extra length, im running 160 now, and would prefer to go up to 175 again
  22. got an 04 221ti frame here in black if you want it, pretty good condition, few scratches but no dents, threads all okay, yours for £60 posted
  23. hiya dude, i use the echo tr discs front and rear, and they are spot on, bite and hold are really good once bedded in, not great to begin with, but do get alot better, i cant say much on regards to how well the seals will last, which was a downfall to previous echo brakes. all in all, i would recommend them, personally i would have prefered hopes, but my bike came with these, but yeah for the price, no brake comes close
