  1. Watching videos of people riding Portland reminds me of the good old days. great riding! On a side note, this bars angle really far forward thing that alot of the top comp guys are doing at the moment, just a craze or here to stay? personally I think it looks a little wierd. The up-sweep with the bars in that position must be similar to a good old set of flat bars, which will probably be back in fashion come 2013. lol
  2. This whole "trials isn't trials unless its trials" arguement is getting a bit old now and really needs to be put to bed. Patronising "trials history lessons", leaving non-constructive negitive feedback on video's, TGS extremist putting the metaphorical "Jehad" on street riders and vica versa. This all really needs to stop!! come on guy, chill out! this thread is like re-reading a really bad book. Surely people must be getting just as bored of typing the same drool over and over on countless treads as I am of reading it?
  3. Glad you are enjoying it Dave, she was good to me, treat her well.
  4. Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah full length outer cable to stop dirt getting in. There is nothing worse than gritty feeling v brakes. I didn't realise onza did a 'phat' version of their pads? To be honest I will probably go for the slim versions next time and the phat ones only just fit on the rim when new and look a little gay IMO. They do work well on the smooth rim though. Changing the forks, bars and stem has made a massive difference. I think the straight blade forks give it a more streety look too.
  5. My new Zoot with a few mods. - Avid Single Digit 7's (Inspired Phat pads on rear, Avid Rim Wrangler on front) - Tectro Levers - Tectro Brake Booster - Echo Urban Forks - Trialtech stem - Viz Pro 700 bars - Salt grips
  6. I didn't get to make it this year but hopefully will get a chance to come next year. How about a 'bike and parts jumble sale'? Bring down your old trials parts and try and sell them on? With so many riders in one place it could be a good oppitunity to pick up a bargain or make a bit of cash.
  7. Good Work Dan, not only a top bloke but a brilliant rider too. This is one of my favourite video's.
  8. Good work Neil!! Seriously impressive riding, those monster gaps to front wheel look like they take some serious commitment!! Although not quite as much commitment as some people put in to arguing about completly of topic things on this forum!! Heres a suggestion! Instead of wasting time and creative juices thinking of half whitted abuse to post to each other, go out and ride your bikes, improve your skills, develop interesting new riding styles, film it, make interesting edits and then post thoses edits on the forum for the entertainment of others. This would save everyone else the annoyance of having to scroll through endless droll of abusive posts to pick out the comments in the thread that are on topic and interesting to read. Rant over. Cheers
  9. Nice riding, I really like the style!
  10. That was awesome! such a great style!
  11. That disk mount doesn't look quite right to me. I like the I-section design on the tab to try and reduce weigh without compromising strength but I think it could do with a larger weld contact area between the fork leg and the tab to help spread the load under braking and reduce the stress.
  12. What a machine!! He pretty much has every trick in the book, and then decided to make some new ones. that flair drop in thing was sick!!
  13. The riding was awesome, some serious style going on. Great to see Chris riding a trials bike again. That fall was mental!!! Hope he has a speedy recovery and is back on a bike soon. Nick
  14. lol, I see what you mean. I was half expection him to morph into a sword wielding robot at the end. Parkour: when you are too poor to buy a trials bike! To be fair it's is very impressive. Danny's riding always looks so good! love it!
  15. Two Nicks in on the same ride does get confusing lol. Some good pics there Karl! Its a shame you didn't have the camera out when my forks expired on that hook up. I'm not to sure how long the Fatty R's are going to hold out for? I should probably invest in some new forks when I get back from Australia. hhhhhmmmmm what to buy? Maybe some Echo Urbans. I think the bike looks alot better with straight blade forks on it. Which Nick?
  16. Yeah I was pretty chuffed! I was really starting to get use to the frame after you guys left. I managed to do the highest bit of sainsburys wall no idea how high it is but it was much bigger than I have ever done before so all good. Must be the new forks!
  17. Monster stuff! Someone should do a recall on those benches they are clearly a health hazard! some kid could have his eye out on that!
  18. And the award for the shortest shorts ever goes to...................................that dude at 4:10 Beasty riding!
  19. Cheers, Wasn't really much of a problem setting up the rear wheel. I'm using Rockman notched snail cams which i guess are a little easier to set up than the smooth edged cams. I just adjusted the drive side first to get the chain tension right then used the none drive side cam to centralise the wheel in the frame. Tyre clearance is definately at a premium, I'm running a minion 2.5 and had to set the wheel pretty far back in the drop outs to get is to clear.
  20. Just got it built up yesterday. It feels very different to the old koxx levelboss 1065, but shouldn't take too long to get use to it.
  21. I moved out of Broadstone years ago lol. I lived in Ferndown for about a year then moved into Bournemouth and now down in Poole.
  22. Nah, I live in Poole. Would have taken a bit longer than 15mins to ride home from Sandbanks on Sunday if I lived in Salisbury. lol
