  1. Really? Surely if you're renting the house, he can't just decide to use parts of it?
  2. Girlfriend is forever saying i'm coming down to London from Brighton, so annoying. THERE IS NO DOWN FROM HERE, DOWN IS THE SEA.
  3. Jardo i just snotted a jaffa cake, holy f**king lol.
  4. Good few days haha, i'm just an impatient f**k. To be fair, i've never bid 'til about 5 seconds on anything, ever, so I should probably chill out.
  5. Never sold anything on ebay before, being able to see that more than half the people to have viewed the item are watching it but no-one's bid yet is REALLY ANNOYING.
  6. Or you might turn out to be below it.
  7. The ATs would do you very well, i've always been really impressed with them. Go skinny and tall if it's gonna be playing in the mud. You'll probably find the lack of a low ratio transfer box more limiting than the tyre choice off road, though
  8. I keep reading the title wrong, makes for quite a different topic. Faye's a bit difficult, won't touch any degree of salad amongst other things.
  9. BFG ATs if you can find some in that size! Awesome tyres.
  10. I'm another on the Tarty wagon, i don't keep track of what I spend but I just make sure i've always got enough to do the other stuff i need to do like paying rent and keeping the missus happy, but i guess that's pretty standard Gonna have a cheap term now and let m bank balance recover. I don't absolutely need to buy anything for a while, so just gonna save for the wheels and V8 while keeping an eye out for a couple of handy conversion parts.
  11. Nice one, will check that out! Did have my suspicions it might be something in the rack as it feels a little heavy/ notchy sometimes, so will give that a go. Cheers!
  12. I was thinking that, cheers mate! I'd be up for a quick rack but not sure if i'd be able to keep it PAS? Might just get this off and overhaul it.
  13. Cheers for the help on the Police situation guys! I've not seen them out while driving recently, but I did see 'em driving through town the other night with the roof spotlights on - maybe the driver is just a total muppet? Will definitely be turning off and stopping in future though, cheers for that! As for the car itself; I've had a big pile of parts for a while, decided to see if i could re-use the top mount nuts the other day. Turns out knackered dampers do a great job of falling through the strut tops and springs when you forget to put the nut back on and jack it up So, this happened instead of battling the old ones back in; Bilsteins converted to coilovers, 275lb springs, new M16 calipers, vented drilled and grooved discs, Mintex M1144s and Goodridge hoses. It drives f**king awesome now, no under-steer in the wet, just stays really planted all the time. Softer back end and a stiff front definitely seems to be nice, not as tail-happy as it used to be either. Really surprised by how the ride's actually improved with the significantly harder springs - the old dampers really must have been f**ked the amount it used to crash about. Brakes are awesome too, absolutely stands on it's nose. It'll all be coming off again soon to put some bump stops in, stick some eccentric top mounts on and get it lower. However, there's a little issue. It always used to pull to the left a tiny bit and the wheel judders like a motherf**ker if i turn right gently at about 40. Faster or slower and it doesn't care, similarly if you chuck it in it's fine. It's still doing the exact same thing now despite having all new front suspension. Any ideas or should I just get it in for the tracking looking at? I left all the track rods etc well alone, nothing looks bent, wheel bearings are fine.
  14. I'm with him, that's one weird spec... Your call though - i'll take the framekit when you hate it Good Christas here, mum chipped in on new Capri brakes, got a sweet tin mug, choccies, siiiiiiick dressing gown, socks - all good!
  15. Fully marked this one. If i go anywhere near it, i'll get tailed to wherever i'm going without fail. They'll turn round if we're on opposite sides of the road and then follow pretty damn close for mile after mile. I know it doesn't sound that bad, but last night just really f**ked me off - the above happens very frequently (must be a good 10+ times now and i'm not out too often) but last night I got followed down a 40mph stretch from town with them literally hanging on my bumper, could barely see their lights and bumper in my mirror. A car undertook me at a good 50-60 along there before this and they didn't seem to give two shits about that. Came up to a roundabout, i got in lane, they went to go left then pretty rapidly cut across two lanes of traffic and pulled up very close right beside me on the right hand side before slamming the brakes on and then shooting left, almost like they were trying to get a good look at who's driving in the most dangerous way possible or something. I really would rather they just pull me over if they've got some kind of problem with me so I could actually talk to them and find out why they feel the need to do it. Maybe it's all a co-incidence, but last night really pissed me off - i know i've even got a brake light out so they could've pulled me if they wanted to, just seems like a bored copper trying to wind a young lad in a nice car up. It's always the same white 5 series as well, so it's not like the car's marked and all traffic cars just check on it every now and again, seems really strange.
  16. genuinely getting harassed by a traffic car, is there anything i can do about it?
  17. stuck near Peterborough after my master cylinder fully gave out at South Mimms, made it a good old way with half-working front brakes and slowing down on the gears, but decided to call it a day after limping it to my mate's who kindly put me up. We've had the whole thing apart and it is fuuuuuuuuucked, was so pitted - cleaned it up and it's just got baggy fanny syndrome. Rear seal is barely touching the sides and pulling in so much air. So glad I have my RAC card in my wallet, heeeere we go...

    Pussy juice, geddit?
  19. Brake pedal is literally down to the floor now - hurry up delivery! Can tell all of this will go on and i'll need to replace the mast cylinder after all... Gonna give the bench bleed a go while it's all apart - it's not leaking fluid from anywhere so in my mind, kinda should still be working?
  20. Use it right and it's fine - it's awesome to fully get away from ALL technology every now and again. Whenever i'm out the country, i'm not in contact. I don't even try, and it's bliss. At home doing that is a lot less practical, but it's good to kick back all the same. I find it very useful for uni and keeping in touch with various friendship groups, but could definitely survive without it.
  21. Is her mum Dave Anscombe? Got 'er indoors some kwality socks, a scarf, dick in a box and either an Olympus Trip 35 or XA2, whatever she prefers (and I can have the other one myself).
  22. Agreed, that's excellent dude
  23. Tycho released Past is Prologue on vinyl a month or so a go. I bought and imported one. Turns out Faye did the same for me for Christmas. Faye is sad now. Fuuuuuuuu.
