Well that's reassuring! No I didn't realise any of that lol, several people have told me they've had really bad experiences with Ti bolts, these are grade 5 (I think) Ti alloy bolts, I have the Stan M10 rear axle ones and several m6 bolts mainly on stem, brake adaptors/calipers, these are the ones I'm most worried about.
So caliper & adaptor bolts are good to go? I'd hate to break some major parts for the sake of being a tart.
While I'm here, how suitable are ti bolts for things like axles, stems, brake caliper & adaptors? I know it's not as strong as steel but by a big enough margin to worry?
After seeing someone with Ti caliper & adaptor bolts at Tarty Days I've gone all rainbow titanium, All I need now is some rainbow Pro 2 axle bolts, I've checked Stan on Tarty but they only come in silver, Ebay gave no joy either, any ideas? Maybe some car brands do flashy bits?
Thanks! I'm 31 now, so only 22 in the vid, lighter, fitter, rode more, more time, didn't have shit like footjam whips & G turns to learn!
Part of it is nostalgia too for most people. Plus that Zebdi was the best bike ever.
Mine has to be this from 2006, even though it's 9 years old I just love the way Jonny Jones made it, editing, filming, song choice, general vibe, and it was all filmed in one really hot Sunday afternoon.
From Jonny's DVD "Our Summer"
It's steel but how heavy is it? Are they stronger than the old 2002 ish white Ryan Leech Norco signature frames? Because I had one of those brand new and I cracked it in 2 places within 6 weeks, not disc related but if that's all it took then I wouldn't get my hopes up with a disc.
I think Damon is the best to watch, when he rolls up on the back wheel he just pauses until he's ready to go, none of that set up hop crap, I HATE excessive set up hops! Less hops = more accuracy and stuff.
Plus, dropouts that thin wouldn't have been for qr wheels, chances are it's a very old and low end frame, AND I might be wrong but the bit behind the seat tube looks like a cable guide for a cantilever brake, you know, the ones that V brakes replaced in the mid/late 90's.
I've got one, not pretty, had to have the corner filed ages ago to clear a weld but works fine, good threads. Yours for a can of Monster, or 2. I'm not there until 11 ish Saturday though.
