The X-tort wins with 445mm chainstays, anti wheelie technology. The middle one's ugly but at least it's got a short back end!
-
It's an £80 lever, it shouldn't leak, ever.
-
You can't say it's better? lol.
-
If I was the owner, I probably would have read that too.
-
Definitely weird, definitely not pretty, but if they all have it there's a reason for it, probably disc mount stress related. I can't imagine a mistake that big would get past quality control.

Hayes are bombproof, thick Formula ones are good too, even cheap Clarks ones are chunkier than Shimano. Hope seem pretty good too, they look the best and are made perfectly but I'd guess the big fat types are still a bit stronger. It's a cheap part you should change every now and then, for the sake of saving a £150 brake!
-
You shouldn't be using a bent adaptor on your brake, considering they're £5 - £10. Yeah other accidents can happen, using bolts with a really wide head should make it harder for that to happen but you can't always get the clearance. ALWAYS use washers too. If only this came in a 203 version.

I've said it before, don't use those skinny little Shimano adaptors! They're built completely wrong to take stress. When that adaptor cracks the next move will pretty much finish the caliper off. Use a nice manly Hayes one, they're about £6.
-
Won't be ideal, but the massively high front end/bb difference probably will make it harder though. But I'm guessing it's a street fun bike and he's not going for any sidehop world records.

Ta Ross, maybe tomorrow! Yeah the levers are flappy and flexy, they click and take up freeplay without fail everytime you pull them before they actually start pushing anything, thanks to them being made of mostly plastic, the pads rock like a bitch resulting in a big clunk every time I land with the brake on, they're not very powerful, the front is just about passable on a 203 rotor, the rear is just not good enough, you'd have to ride a mod and weigh about 9 stone to call these reasonable. On a positive note they're light, and they take 30 seconds to set up as you can see the pads and rotor right through the top of the caliper. But I'm not buying 2 sets of saints, for the same reason I'm not buying 2 sets of Continental tyres.

Cheers! Yeah I quite like it too, what I don't like is the Magura MT2's

Still got it, I just had an entire bike worth of quality spares, so I thought why not? This frame would make a pretty dark bike with the other parts as they're pretty much all black, so I gave the gold to the Archive, I do wish it was blue though.

Well as long you get the spider that takes a 22t ring then they'll take the same 4 bolt bash and ring as any other crank. BB30....no idea, never seen it, hollowtech's just fine for now unless BB30 does something amazing.
-
No. But I can't see them being any weaker than the mid level Shimano stuff. Thery're actually closer to Saint weight than SLX/Deore. But would you really wanna scratch those up? At £245 I'd rather not. Agree on the logo too, all their other parts are quite subtle but that crank is really in your face.

Searching for riders from way back, I'm looking to learn the "

What frame you got? Loved my old Orange zeros, Planet X Zebdis & Norco. -
I'd guess no in the long run, it's a lot of stress to focus on one small soft alu area. I reckon steel frames deal with the big rotor stress better.
-
Frame breaking aside, 8in rotors are not overkill at all, you can never have too much power in a disc, Maguras and Vees are different because you lose modulation making them sticky/powerful. My 203 Saints work perfectly and are brilliant, but they'll never hold a drop gap like a HS33 will, especially to a rail, there are certain things I've done on a Magura that I just wouldn't with discs. Now and then they slip on stuff, more is more.

Red Bull was originally launched in Austria and I think that's sort of their home. Oehler's from there, so is Fabio, probably helps being Austrian.

Yeah I didn't need it but I had to at that price, strangely the one with the rasta writing is £27.99. Hoffman pivotal post is also £5.99 on there, so if you buy both you get free postage. About the best combo you can get for £15.98 delivered.

Nice Anyone wanting a seat, it's £9.99 down from £30 from Chain Reaction, so buy it! You can also get Eclats on Amazon for a tenner if you want something more minimal.
-
I've got a Cult Dehart pivotal, they look really good. It just won't clear my tyre unless I have it horizontal or put the post up an inch.
-
Eclats rule. I've actually got a nice pivotal but it won't sit how I want it let alone lay back due to my low ish bb and tiny seat tube combo. Eclats sit just right though.
