Exactly, and the strength/weight argument is valid on paper, but in the real world you will never notice a difference.

The weight you'd save could be matched by plucking a pube...that shouldn't even be a thought, and I really don't think anyone's gonna break a black spoke in a situation where a silver one would have survived. I've used cheap plain gauge Halo black spokes for years and never had a problem. Black spokes look stealthy, expensive, cool.

I think he only looked sketchy because he was on a wobbly pallet, on a fork lift, on the edge of a 17ft drop. I'd like to see someone do that & keep composed!

AND.... Black hubs with silver spokes & silver rims ain't right. Go black silver black, or silver black silver, or better yet black black black. And odd hubs when you're spending all that money, why?

Definitely a worse impact on the grass, but 3 feet difference is a big difference, especially at those heights. I don't fancy either.

I suppose it might make a couple off mm difference, but on a seat like this.... It's pretty bulky, I reckon an Éclat or even an Inspired pivotal at a more neutral angle would give more clearance on the top and the sides. Definitely comfier, but I've never actually considered comfort on a trials bike seat, my tyre is more comfy.

They could have made it longer, made it steeper, or used a different seat, at least let it point where the top tube does! I don't agree with the laid too far back "it thinks it's a bmx" seat angles out there, but that looks equally crap, and it looks like the only way of sorting it is putting it up higher! Seems unnecessarily small for a street frame too. I'll think of more stuff later. I do like the bars though.

I reckon geo wise that Ozonys would ride ok, but that seat angle/seat clearance is a pretty big fail. Tiny headtube only to whack a load of spacers on top? All those spacers and a flat stem? I feel it lacks some thought....

You could pedal over to Sean Watson & have a go on his? (Joke, I know Canada's a big place) You'll just have to weigh up the geo & decide what's best, I'm pretty sure the Skye will be what it was minus 20 ish mm on the stays.

Well you've read about the old Skye, with the improvements on the new one it's gonna have a stiffer front end, pretty bombproof, and the back end is obviously down from 380mm, probably around 360mm. So call it a 970wb instead of the old 990 assuming the front end hasn't changed. The Arcade ain't gonna have a shorter wheelbase than that., and people are saying the reach is longer too. Being pretty short so you might find a Skye front end more manageable. That's all on paper obviously, I'd love to ride both.

You will never EVER find a new set of Fattys, they came out in about 1999, I paid £119 for mine!! But yeah for V brakes they're great, but very short, they're only 390mm axle to crown, which could be good or bad depending on what you want.

If you used alloy bolts you deserve this.
