    26" rim choice

The inspired rim is the same width as what I've got and bing's Dx32 is 36h. My pro2 is 32h. Otherwise a DX32 would be perfect.

    26" rim choice

I can't fit 47mm between my pads. The matching front is no wider than what I have now either. I just can't trust a single wall rim, if it HAS to be drilled, then it has to be double wall. I'm quite heavy & I'm not nice to my bike.

    That's what I'm using now ^^ lol

    26" rim choice

They're only 36mm, AND they weigh a ton, AND they don't come in 32h..... Come on! lol.

    26" rim choice

    38mm, it's a planet X BMF / Alex DX32.

    26" rim choice

The usual reasons, sick of tyre roll, I do a lot of 90/180 degree harsh landing stuff & a wide rim makes it much easier for the tyre. I've got a Dmr Backline rim at the moment and the tyre still folds out and I've got room for up to about 42mm so why not? Loads more tyre stability for a few grams. But at 40 odd mm they're either disc only or full of holes/single wall.
  8. I need a new rim on the back. It can't be a super wide rim, clearance is tight, but it's gotta be 38mm-42mm wide and have a braking surface. After looking through the modern ones the only ones in this size range seem to be single wall front rims, I can't use a single wall as it's going on the back. I'd rather it wasn't full of holes but I'll consider it. DH rims are all disc only these days and I can't find an Alex DX32 anywhere so it looks like I'm stuck with a trials rim. Recommendations? Not too fussed on weight but it's gotta last.
  9. I fell for it. But I think I'm still intrigued. If attention was the goal, job done.
  10. The giant's probably a 10mm drop. Just ride my 26 for a bit and see how it feels. Bb drops don't exist anymore, even on the streetiest bikes. Your problem will be getting enough steerer tube. The front of my 26 is pretty high but you'll need more.
  11. GOD you missed out lol.
  12. Anyone know who was taking pics of the little bunnyhop comp we had going over the bar? His camera looked pretty serious.
  13. What's the weather looking like for Saturday and what part of London are you riding? I'm hoping it's these secret amazing spots I've never ridden My body is ruined from Radfest but I'm resting up and hopefully I'll be ride worthy.
  14. I just saw your status update... "Radfest was a good comeback. I know I was disabled" (Bit of a contradiction) Then.... "Family man and trials innovator" I don't mean to be harsh but I can't stop laughing.
  15. Brilliant weekend! Great to meet riders old and new. Can't wait for the vids & pics!
  16. Looks really similar to my 26, that's just an old hex with 5mm off each end. I reckon they'd ride almost the same!
  17. That'd just make his shoes less comfy.
  18. I fail to see a single dick, explain...
  19. The glory hole in the front is nice though.
  20. If I used grinds, which I don't, I'd make sure I did one before I left so I didn't waste time & energy grinding a rim in a hot field when it's RADFEST!
  21. This, soooo light & comfy. Loads of colours too.
  22. I don't think long stays are good for anything but hill climbing or drag racing. But you can go TOO short, mine are about 369 & it feels about right.
