strange choice... I wouldn't put my faith in them. p bones weren't very strong and these came before p bones.

My 24" is about 4.8/4.9 lbs. To compare....a 2013 Fourplay is 5.156lbs, and a Skye is about 5.3lbs. My frame's quite old, it's made from his old batch of 4130 cro mo from probably late 2010, not the new triple butted stuff he's using now.

I've got one on my 24" and yes, it's a lot better than it should be. You won't be doing 10ft front wheel drop gaps but I weigh 14 & a half stone & it has no problem with me, even with a 180 rotor. Much better than a brand new echo disc I tried (piece of shit)

I bought them new, paint stripped that awful red off that same day, polished the shit out of them, went for a quick roll around & they were just too short for a bike with an already low bottom bracket. They are lovely & straight though, hardly any rake. They seem to sell well on ebay too, usually go for 30-35 quid.

A lot of us have been using Maguras for 15 years, so I reckon we're pretty clued up on how to bleed & set them up. You're in the minority that likes them, so not exactly an improvement over the 98 & 05.

Mind the bit inside where the piston likes to live, It's possible to do some kind of damage with paint stripper, sanding then wire wool's safer, it's only a small area & the curves make it easy.
