  1. Who are you and why do you get more updates than us? lol.
  2. Yeah, clamp wise....couldn't that just snap like the '05 did? I'd prefer an '04 remake but I guess the blades are unobtainable now.

Well, I wouldn't call a Planet X Zebdi or a Pace RC250-T a normal mtb, kids these days would look down on them, but they were cutting edge trials frames 10/11 years ago. Still, I know what you mean though, next to todays bikes most people would just refuse to use them.
  4. There must be good & bad ones like everything, just seems the Echo are more bad than good. Even when they do work they really don't have the power for big wheels.
  5. Not really, I've got a dirt cheap m486 from about 2009, and it has worked flawlessly for the 2+ years I've had it, not even a rattly lever blade, and performance wise I'd say the very top of the range Hope discs only have slightly more power than this £40 Shimano job, and they age worse than a Limp Bizkit album. I haven't used a Saint, but the fact that everyone wants or has them means I'd happily buy one without trying it out.
  6. I really think on average, Shimano are better than Hope these days. Hopes tend to fade after a while & no amount of rotors & pads will bring them back. Even the entry level Shimano discs out perform at least the mid level hopes, and will perform for longer. Seals never seem to be an issue. I've never liked any of the Hope trial discs, feel spongey, too much fancy cnc shit & flashy colours, not enough performance. The Echo disc is just an inferior product, kill it. Or like above...put a cheap shimano lever on it.
  7. Don't know anything about Formulas, but I heard they cost the earth. Shimano seems a safer bet.
  8. You need something called a Shimano Saint. :wink2:
  9. That looks disgusting, even the numbers look disgusting. Why not just spend £50 on a cheap mountain bike for the commute and ride outside work hours?
  10. Wasn't really any preference, but he's the most well rounded rider we saw, he can hook big walls, he can front wheel up to rails, he can do all the trialsy stuff despite being on a pretty street specific bike, he has all the flatland as well, he can ride street so aggressively and stylishly. He can backflip, do barspin drops, tailwhips and generally has no fear. He's a pretty complete rider, so I wasn't surprised by the decision. I think those things are what won it for him.
  11. I did after the first few times I saw it, pretty cool!
  12. It's Revolver, I can't help but think it was a spell check, lol.

Don't forget "how high up the tape measure you can sidehop" too!
  14. Some new pics of the first 14 frames half done, he's doing the rear triangles now. We haven't heard who Marino wants to sponsor yet but I'd imagine it's pretty soon, we'll let you all know here when we know!
  15. What lever is it? The new M596? I had an m595 (pic) and it just wasn't good enough for trials. But I have an even cheaper older M486 which is brilliant. Trying to gauge how good the new ones are.
  16. Yeah he really should fix that lol. If anyone does need to order while it's like that I'd email or give him a message on facebook.
  17. He DOES have a web designer that's supposed to be re doing it all, not sure when but it is planned.
  18. This must be the oldest thing I have, 2000 ish, Orange zero!
  19. In 1998 when Revolution came out & we all first saw him ride, he was incredible, soooo ahead of his time, one of the very best in the world, he stayed at the top for a while. But I'm pretty sure he has the balls & skills to still be at the sharp end these days too, even more so if he had a modern bike, but yeah he chose to demo & do what he does instead of pushing things further. He just doesn't take the big risks anymore, he's still ridiculously precise though, I mean how many people on earth are riding/ gapping between chains?
  20. Yeah I saw the vid (many times) Great style & big balls
  21. I didn't notice but he's actually replying in the PinkBike thread. Still don't know what he's saying though lol.
  22. Were you a bmxer once? Your 360's are suspiciously clean....
