Forks look interesting, they look straighter than Inspired. Stem looks pointless, no street trials rider will use a stem that short, and dirt jumpers/ park riders are never gonna use Echo parts.
-
You were probably using the TrialsForum tape measure, usually used to measure gaps & drops. It's almost twice the size.
-
Actually it will, if there's a 20mm area of adjustment, that's the difference in the chainstays between a GU Typhoon and an Orange Zero. Have the back end as short as you can.
-
If you have horizontal dropouts Tarty would have listed the wb from a neutral position, pretty central, yours could be up to about 15mm either way depending on your gearing/chain length.
-
No!! Your wheelbase is measured from where your wheel is, if your wheel is out how are you gonna know where it is? Centre (middle / half way through) each axle (most central part of the wheel) Your bike IS built up with a headset right?

-
Wheels straight & inline? Measure between the centres of the axles (qr skewers/bolts).

If you wanna work in an office then it's gonna hold you back, but if you get into a trade & wanna be a builder then it's really not a big deal, I've worked with plenty of builders that have been to prison. Pretty much any self employed work you'd be alright, but getting employed by a big company......you'd struggle, but like someone said, it's who you know not what you know. But I agree, I think if you did something fairly minor as a teen that means you can only work for agencies for £6.50 an hour for the rest of your life, then that's pretty shit.

Never seen one (helpful I know) But I like the look of them, definitely prefer it to a fourplay. Surprised there aren't more around. I've ridden a mk1 Fourplay and I hated it, bb is way too high, especially with the chainstays being so long & the whole thing is too long for what it's supposed to be, but nowadays the fourplays bb is only +20mm, which is a good height, I'd say +25mm is good too, personally I wouldn't want anything higher. The Ozonys will spin & turn better than a fourplay, with it's super short back end and high bb.

I think that's pretty conclusive lol.

Ah, short headtube for the bb rise! Still seems a mental amount of spacers though. -

I don't get the bar height, with the not so high bb, unless you're really tall? -
I'm guessing he snapped his '05 and was forced to temporarily use a 2011 against his will.

Marino Bike 2013 Team Rider Found & frame order discussion thread

Which team rider told you "get what you get"? I'm with you on this one, I don't pay for my frames, it's freezing cold for the next few months so I'm not too bothered when I get mine, but if I was a paying customer I wouldn't be happy. When you get your frames you need to all give him feedback about the service, if he gets enough of the same he should act on it & improve things. He asks me & Ross for feedback & stuff so we'll include that. I think when his 4/5 tons of tubes turned up he already had a back log of orders to do, mostly bike polo stuff in Peru that was ordered before ours. I really do think he gives himself unrealistic amounts of work, leading to unrealistic deadlines. But like JD said, the frames are all made, and it sounds like they're heat treated too if they're ready for painting. Then it's just a 3 week wait for the new vinyl for the stickers :wink2: -
Because it's cool to do, and cool to watch.

I don't see any point in a 150mm rear end for trials, but a 73mm bb shell standard would make sense for clearance, most people just have spacers on a 68mm shell anyway, get rid of 68mm, it's been around a while & was fine when we all had 6 gears & 1.95 tyres. 143mm hubs seems pointless too, changing the industry for 3.5mm either side.
-
I reckon they had some 1996 Zaskar stickers laying about.

£15 for 7 allen keys.....

I just love that "face down ass up" posture on a bike, so cool...

It's got a blue chain so it must be good.

I've gotten away with far worse.

I've had trans red & trans green, so the 24 will be raw & the 26 probably metallic light green, he sent me a pic of quite a nice green. -

Nice, when do you reckon we'll get them? He said my 26" is done now, not painted though. -

Fair enough lol. Don't see many brake mounts in those pics, is it heat treating then brake mounts?
