  1. Equality is a modern movement. Making up for past generation's discrimintaion isn't equality, it's giving a disadvantage to white males.
  2. @monkeyseemonkeydo It would be interesting to know where these age figures come from. Just a thought, but what if voters aged 18-25 were more likely to follow the trends of/be influenced by celebrity opinions? If for example the Kardashians, Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber etc. voiced support for Trump, would the opinion of the younger voters have been the same? Both remain for Brexit and support for Hillary was heavily voiced by celebrities and I don't think we should under estimate the influence they have on people. I'm not saying that this is the case, i'm just pointing out a similarity. Should celebrities keep their political views private? @jeff costello I agree that some voters would have voted for Obama because he was black, just like some people would have voted for Hillary because she is a women. But I don't think that's the mindset of the majority of voters. Recent feminism aside, I believe most people in the USA (and most of the world) want equality, not evalated privileges for anyone who isn't a white male.
  3. I think this needs it's own thread . @monkeyseemonkeydo Are you saying that people aged 18-25 are smarter and have superior political knowledge, compared to over 25s? Politics is largely opinion based. What makes your opinion right and the opposing opinion wrong? I don't like Trump either, but he won fair and square and I don't see why he shouldn't be given the chance to prove himself a worthy president. We will just have to wait and see whether future history books will be titled "2016: The year of butthurt" or "2016: Nothing to see here, move along".
  4. No it shouldn't. Gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion should play no part in a role such as this. It should be all about who people believe will do the job best. Donald Trump didn't win because he is a male, Hillary Clinton didn't lose because she is female and Obama didn't win years ago for the sake of being the first black president. The majority of the world is slowly but surely breaking out of discrimination now and I'm sure when the right candidates comes along, there will be a first female, homosexual, trans, muslim etc. president of the USA.
  5. Gender is not a valid reason to vote for a president.
  6. Can you post up some occasions of legitimate racism from Trump? I have seen a few of his apparent racism and personally, I thought it was a bit ridiculous to call it racism. Maybe the wrong thing to say (again, probably due to a lack of thinking before speaking), but not enough to label him as a racist. But you will always get people like that, whichever side they are on. There was a lot of people saying that they will vote for Hillary because she is a women.
  7. Voicing your concerns about how you may be affected by a vote is fine. I was referring to the hate being fired at people who have a different opinion being immature. There will always be people who have a different opinions, but you don't have to be hateful towards them, saying they "can go f**k themselves".
  8. People vote on what they believe will better their lives and benefit their country or even the world. Just like with brexit, the level of bigotry and hate from people who's opinion differs from the side that won the vote is disgusting and in a sense, hypocritical. I don't like Donald Trump, but I respect the choice those 50+ million people made. I don't like Clinton, but I respect the people's decisions who voted for her. I voted to leave the EU (i'm not at all racist or hateful), but I respect (and would have respected if they won) the people's decision who voted to stay. It's the whining people who don't get it their way that makes me sick. Grow up and respect other people's opinions. As long as everything being done is legal and they are not gassing jews, give Trump a chance to improve things with the republicans with their ideas. And if it doesn't work, people can vote again in 4 years and bitch about what was done wrong.
  9. I think the opposite. We should all follow the example of the Swiss.
  10. I too hate both of them, but I think if I would have voted for Trump out of the two. I'm not full on defending Trump here, but in my opinion people confuse racism with identifying real issues with certain people of particular races (the Mexican boarder, illegal immigrants, radical Muslims etc.). Although Trump may not have the best solutions, he does seem to take the issues a lot more seriously. The labelling of racism and sexism has got really out of hand these days, people need to accept realities. I do think that most of the racist, sexist labels come from Trump not thinking before he speaks, whereas Hillary is very good at learning her lines. 2016 seems like a big year for sore losers politically.
  11. That last section was sweet as!

  13. Yet I still only get 4 Mbps at my house.
  14. I'm not buying prime for one show.
  15. Changed some bits. Got some arcade bars and a new stem for it. Took the inspired forks off of it for my cannondale and put some ashton forks on it instead for now. Also put my king headset on and decided to take the back brake off. She will do for a winter play bike. Have been riding rocks all year though. So my spins, manuals and bunnyhops are a bit rusty. EDIT: I will probably whack some lacquer on the forks this weekend.
  16. @Big G Clearance is an issue with fat alberts, however. My mate is running one on his echo and he uses a half link so that the tyre clears the frame.
  17. Anyone seen any of Westworld? Guy at work has recommended it.
  18. I'm running a Kenda Kinetics on the back. It came on the bike when I got it and it will do for now, nothing special. I know clearance can be an issue. My mate has a Schwalbe Fat Albert on his and he needed a half link, so that he could have the wheel far back in the dropouts enough for the tyre to clear the frame. Not sure about highrollers though. The Conti Danny Mac tyres seem to be the go to tyres for 24 at the moment. Plenty of people use them on these echo bikes.
  19. Took my bike out for one last, decent ride a couple days ago. And finished the new build today. I need to get some low rise bars for it though.
  20. A mac version would be cool too.
  21. This is my new "bored at work" game. I love simple games.
  22. Put the Inspired forks on it. They do feel better, which hurts inside a bit
  23. As streety 24s go, it feels reasonably light.
