    EU Referendum

With how close the vote was... I imagine this would have been the same response of the leave people if it went the other way. What a waste of time and money it would be to hold it again. On the speculation that the people who didn't vote, might vote if they had a second chance and vote stay. Or that people will change their mind. Ridiculous. The people who wanted to vote did and we have the result.

    EU Referendum

"May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." - Nelson Mandela The people have spoken and democracy won. We will be governed by the people we elect. We will continue to trade with the whole world. We will get our fishing industry back. We can control (not close) our borders. We can determine our own regulations. We can stay out of affairs that we don't want to be involved in. Lets face it, the EU is not in a good economic state itself. And countries outside the EU are doing very well for themselves. It's going to be rocky for a while, as it is a big change. But I for one am hopeful for the future.

Most things, to put it simply.

I am at work and am yet to go to the polling station, but it will be a leave vote

@tomturd Have you made a decision yet? I did some reading last night and made my mind up.

    Inspired Skye V3

Nice build! Cosmetically, I still think the frame and fork are too puffy.

i'm still floating around the middle of the debate. Though slightly swaying towards leave.
  8. Bike looks nice! You don't happen to still have the Carrera frame, forks and headset from your old build do you? Would you sell?
  9. I too am on the look out for a new front tyre to replace my small block eight, but 24" tyres are scarce. Has anyone tried the Schwalbe Black Jacks?
  10. The fact that I can't go dual disc on mine upsets me a little. I have only had 2 proper rides on it so far, but I am already starting to feel comfortable on it. The only things I want to change at the moment is the front tyre.
  11. This bike popped up locally so cheap, that I thought it would be rude not to buy it. It had literally been ridden 5 times and had been sitting in a garage for a few years. When I got it, it was virtually standard spec. I have since changed a few bits to suit my preference. Loving it so far.
  12. The theme tune and the power lap times should have stayed. The rest of it should have been completely redone from the ground up. The presenters are all wrong. They should have got some proper motoring journalists to do it and gone a bit more down the serious route I think. A bit like fifth gear but with production value. I think we all know that the old crew with amazon are going to be doing a lot more on the entertainment/epic adventure challenges side of things, rather than ordinary car reviews. And I don't think that Top Gear should have tried to compete with them on that. Even the celeb interviews were a mess. Of all the things I was expecting Chris Evans to be bad at, the celeb interviews were one of the last things I expected.
  13. I enjoyed it on the whole. For such a big group ride though, I think it would have been nice to see more clips from different riders. Regardless of skill level.
  14. I like. I too got myself an echo 24" 2 weeks ago. Your tyre/rim logos are wonky :).
  15. Frame might be hard to sell. But fatty forks, hs33s, middleburns, hope stuff etc can do pretty well on ebay. Infact, I may be interested in the forks.
  16. You persuaded me @Ross McArthur. I bought a second hand Der Kaiser with around half it's tread left on ebay for £15 posted. I then realised that there are 2 different compounds. Hopefully I got the black chilli, but it will still be better than what I have if it isn't. Just need to worry about the front tyre now. Although I may put the front off for a while, as I have spent too much money this month.
  17. @Alex Dark Single ply probably. My bike is pretty heavy, so would like to save the weight.
  18. Oh, lots of different opinions. I used to use high rollers, but that was so long ago that I can't remember what they were like. They both use tyres that I can't get for 26" wheels. Like myself, they know the obvious, expensive ones. But there is so much choice at the cheaper end of the scale, that it gets a bit confusing.
  19. What are the best tyres these days that don't cost a small fortune? I used to mainly ride street and currently have holy rollers. The guys I am riding with now, ride rocks mainly and the holy rollers aren't doing so well. 26" wheels.
  20. Every modernish trials frame I have tried, I haven't really got on with. I keep going back to my mk1 and mk2 ashton justice frames. The old school parts on my current build consist of a mk2 ashton frame, middleburn cranks, a 110 x 10 hope stem and a 04 magura. My rims aren't old, but are the old school way of just standard MTB rims.

    Films!?

I personally don't see why Batman vs Superman is getting so much hate. On the whole, I thought it was pretty enjoyable and would give it a 6-7/10. Yes it had a lot of flaws, but so do 9/10 of comic book movies. I do agree with the complaint that too much was squeezed into it, but I can understand why they are rushing it with all the success Marvel are having with their universe and the avengers. Ben Affleck as Batman was also surprisingly good and I am looking forward to his stand alone films.
  22. Hope's TPA idea looks interesting. But I think it's over complicated for what a TPA is for and is just another potential place to leak. I would much rather see a hope CNC'd '04 maggy lever. And with hope parts being pretty user serviceable, I would like to see serviceable slaves.
  23. Or just put the bleed screw back in? Much easier when you need higher pressures for a really stubborn piston.
  24. That TSG Kraken looks interesting, but availability looks a bit scarce. Good shout on trying on some halfords helmets. I completely forgot about them, as I usually don't get bike related stuff from there.
