I did believe it was a racing incident, but then when it's come to light that he may have said he's done it on purpose made me raise an eyebrow. Mercedes have said they are going to let everything cool down before any action is taken, I think rosberg has to just come out and apologise to the team and Hamilton and that can be an end of it.

It's so hard being a Lewis Hamilton fan. Be interesting to see what comes of this http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/28922696 At least mr smiley won again and showed the grumpy German how it's done again, good lad!

So I've just purchased a 5, probably a bit more than I wanted to pay but desperate to get my own car for the next month or so. Picking it up this week sometime. Any tips on mods I could do on the cheap (I can get the wheels painted cheaply by a mate if I desire). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181500599829

I cut my own hair, maybe that says something.

Got a new job so really need a set of wheels for a month or so, mx5 hunting ahoy!
-
I'm so suprised that Maldonado has crashed... Hope Hamilton gets chance do his job and has no bad luck again over the weekend.
-
May have a new job lined up so need some wheels for myself, might be getting a van still in October but need something inbetween so strongly considering mx5. This look anygood? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181500599829

Got a job interview on wednesday, I'm shit at interviews. Also hate doing cv's. At least I've already got one foot in the door having the manager know who I am and stuff.
-
Yeh I'm pretty handy with that sort of stuff just trying to decide between getting a second hand with the chance of having to rebuild it or just splash out on a new one.
-
Been managing to get back on the commencal after injury. But it needs some new rims/wheels after the rear got trashed in Fort Bill. Currently running Chris King hubs on older Mavic 819s which aren't really wide enough and seem pretty weighty. Got two options, either build up new rims on my hubs (stans flow most likely) at a rough cost of £180 or just buy a new hope enduro wheelset at £330 and ditch or keep the kings for a different project down the line.
-
Are reverbs easy to rebuild? I'm mighty tempted to get one after having a play on a bike with one. Are they weighty as well?
-
Was thinking of something like an mx5 so that when I go away I could give it to my mum. Need to see if I can get this van for pittance first.

Can someone help me out here, I've sold my van and the insurance runs out in September. I've paid off the last instalment but won't be driving anything til October probably. Should I let the insurance know or just let it run out? On the matter of what to get next, there's a chance in October I can get a low milage transit connect for dirt cheap so gunna wait out til then but I am going away in May next year for quite a while so probably won't need anything then after. I'm mighty tempted to get something fun instead in the meantime. Don't want to spend a lot as it won't be lasting too long, but I'd like to be able to bring my bike along, so does anybody reckon I could fit a bike rack/towbar to an mx5?

Yeh I can see where you are coming from having already been there, I probably didn't word right what kind of experiences I'm after. To me riding my bike in amazing places counts as an experience and if I wanted to get out of the way to see some things I could go find my sister in a remote place off Vancouver island while she's studying killer whales
-
What is it that makes you say that? I have been to vancouver/island/whistler many years ago before I was into mountain biking and was rather blown away by the scenery and peoples attitudes there towards sports and the like. As said have been to Fort William a few times and plan on doing so again in May before I go further adrift. Have noticed the name crop up a few times and looks interesting, definitely wouldn't mind tying it in if I can. I don't have a pedally trials bike no more, not that that means I'm not partial to a bit of it no more. While doing some research quite a few people mention renting campervans in New Zealand and they don't seem too badly priced, I like the idea of flying into Auckland and making my way down to Christchurch and stopping along the way in one. Do you know of any experiences with that kind of thing. I'd definitely be up for meeting somehow! That does sound pretty cool, bit of a vague odd question but do you know if they have an official name? Couldn't come up with many things searching using my wee lickle brain. At the moment I am strongly considering spending roughly a few months in Whistler/Vancouver riding at the bike park and other general activities and possibly going to New Zealand and moving around in a Campervan before ending up at my Uncles place in Christchurch. I really appreciate all the input so far thanks!

Cheers for that that's great to know, especially having just found out that my Uncle has just purchased a bed and breakfast place in Christchurch!

Hey there folks, not too often I post on here but am always lurking! My idea is to go away abroard for a fair while and that is about as far as my plan goes ha. It would be next year probably in June, after I've rode the Scottish six day trial again, til whenever I feel the desire to return. I have family in Christchurch, New Zealand and a very good family friend in Vancouver, Canada so been toying with the idea of tying those in. I'm a keen mountain biker so thought it would be great to get over to Whistler as it's not too far from Vancoover or tying in some riding in New Zealand. No ideas are set in stone though just thought bringing the bike along would be a good idea but not deffinate. Keep getting told I should go out and do a season in Whistler too and as well as that my sister goes out to Vancouer island every year to study Orcas. Thailand and the like always seems to get thrown about when people talk about travelling but it doesn't jump out at me yet, I'm more after experiences and seeing amazing stuff rather than boozing and getting a tan. With regards to working I'm not too fussed either way, I certainly don't want to go away to work, rather work less than more as at the moment I have no real commitments at home working in a bar and as a bike mechanic and so can work away saving between now and then. If anyone has any tips of what would be good ideas for what to do and don't do though I'd appreciate it. So if anyone could help me with any ideas, tips, or anything I'd really appreciate it. Tl;dr - Want to go travelling and need help planning.

That was very enjoyable to watch. Hamiltons overtake on vergne was brilliant, I could feel it coming on from the second corner. Some great driving by Ricciardo and alonso. Not sure if I missed something though but Button seemed to have a great opportunity but then had his second pit stop incredibly early and ended up being nowhere?

Collar bone, elbow/radius and a rib, it's just collar bone that gives me grief really though.
-
Bored off mi nut with broken bones while the weathers mint. Want to get out but struggling for ideas!

Being injured is getting tedious now, run out of patience doing for doing naff all and want to get out and do things. I'm at the point where I've got no sling or pots on to try get some movement back but at times think I can do things but then next minute I knock myself or put a little too much weight on my arm and it reminds me I've got a long way to go til I'm mended

Sorry for not replying before you ordered it but ill give my two cents anyway. The rockrider bikes seem to measure up ever so slightly smaller to the typical sort of standard mtb sizes but not by much. With standard bar and stem length and geometries it sounds like it will measure up ideally for what you're after. I'd say the bike on the site is either a medium or large, I do believe the small sizes have a kink in the top tube. £350 seems like even more of a good deal and probably good you bought it while you did cause it's being replaced by a new model which isn't quite as good. I've unfortunately been out of the loop with anything fairly recent due to being off sick with 3 broken bones
-
Coping with my injury better than expected (broke my collar bone and elbow), last time I broke my wrist a long time ago I was very frustrated but this time I'm always thinking on the positive even though my crash has put me in the shit quite a bit. Also got a custom card from one of my best mates from Australia today (not seen him this year yet with him travelling) and it was such a pleasant suprise, really made my day

Good choice on the wheel upgrade, it the only thing that really lets them down. So smart for the money

I work in decathlon a workshop so get to see what is and isn't good by what gets brought in for repair. We don't often hear of any or get any in so I guess that's a good thing! Decathlon bikes best selling point is value for money. They have some nice features at this price point like oversized bars, disc brakes, deore mech I believe ect ect. Only think I would say is its good to have an idea with this bike how mechanical disc brakes function. Set up right they can be awesome but they do need a bit of attention every now and then to keep then that way. But if you know what you're doing which I'm guessing you will it wouldn't be a problem.
