I'm going to a house party and downtown thursday night and i need a costume. Anyone got any bright ideas? Everything seems to have been done a bazillion times. Can't be too expensive either.

I used to have a season ticket when I was younger for swfc. They were dire at the time (Still are) and I played with my mates in Sunday league. As I got older though the parent syndrome for people started kicking in and the abuse and competitiveness I thought was ludicrous so I left and took up biking with friendly folk. I still enjoy playing, mostly for fun though and follow football and appreciate watching a good game but it is taken way over the top I think at times. One thing I hate is when people say well this soldier gets payed x amount of pounds and this footballer gets payed x amount of pounds and its not fair. They need to realise that's the way the world works and that footballers are payed that much cause there's so much money in it!

Dave my dads got a similar sort of thing that he wants to get rid of, it's probably not been used for a good 8 years or so and wasn't used much anyway if you are interested? Not really sure what it's worth and not seen it in a while cause it's just been sat in his wharehouse.

Right My lock button and flash broke on my iphone 5 but I didn't have time to get it replaced. I then managed to drop and smash the screen after and now they'll only replace it if I give them £209 quid! Anybody had experience with fiddling with iPhones themselves? I fancy the idea of puttin a new screen on and top button myself if it isn't too hard a job?

I've heard using a piece of tracing paper behind the glass can help disperse the light but I've not tried it myself yet.

I've got a single LED one for 19.99 and i am well impressed! I don't reckon the 4xLed will be necessary to be honest they are that bright!

I'm getting my van remapped tomorrow morning. Then ill finish off carpeting the back. It's cushty.

What's people's opinions on this? I really quickly painted my spare wheel with hammerite and it came out quite good. Think black steelies will look better all round?

Got insured on my new van last night. Aviva did me a flipping amazing deal on van insurance. I had to ring them up and confirm cause it was that good. Picked it up today and easily done about 80 mile comfortably. It's an 04 vito 109 Cdi with just 100k and a rear tailgate with warrenty from a dealer. Bodywork is clean but it's not been painted well. (Might be me having a keen eye cause I used to do bodywork) Plans are, carpet/ insulate rear, polish it up, maybe a remap later on and do something about the wheels. With the wheels anyone got any opinions or thoughts? Tempted to just paint them (black perhaps?) and not sure wether to do it properly or just hammertime them or something lol. Sorry it's not a car but there is no van thread

Not really car related as such but I've still not found myself a van. I've sold the mini and had a mates van lined up to buy but that fell through. Been nothing appealing to me except I've now found a decent looking low mileage vito 111cdi. Going to see it tomorrow. Hopefully it will turn out good

I was in a similar situation in that I had my car licence and rode trials bikes for years. I did the theory test myself using free online content and then did cbt with a local bike school. The instructor said I'd pretty much passed within 5 minutes but needed to hang about. If heard the company was a bit demanding and costly but once the manager found out I wanted to do my full test it was real bad. For the simplest basic training they wanted £750 just for mod 1 and 2 and wanted me to sign up there and then. I left and rung up another bike school which was a fella that did it himself and I could tell wasn't gunna muck me about. He was really good. Helped me out a lot, it was £400 for the basic training and tests and I ended up having a lot of lessons for that price. I failed first time for being a nervous wreck and he charged me an extra £125 for the retest which wasn't bad at all considering I think £70 of that is to book the test. In summary I advise you find a small bike school or sole bike trainer and get them to understand your situation.

It's not too bad really, it just depends how bad your dvla centre is and if you can find an mot place that understands that it's a trials bike. You'll need a certificate of newness, dealers will be able to sort you with one. An mot based on frame number and insurance on frame number too. Take it all to a dvla office and you should be good to go.

Took a deposit for the mini just now. Getting picked up on Thursday. Feels odd. Not upset or happy.

Had two people look today, first one I thought was gunna take it then said it was too expensive. Second one the bleeding thing wouldn't start. Got it going and wouldn't tick over right but run fine. As soon as he left it ran fine.... He liked the bodywork and understood though. Said he was gunna look at one tomorrow and get back to me. Fingers crossed. I've come to the end of my tether driving unreliable things.

I saw lawless in the cinema. I rather liked it! Agreed on the throat bit though, was pretty brutal.
