I share all the feelings you describe. On my 20 inch (which is for sale) I first used the WAW Ultimate stem. It was horrible, it killed everything a mod is nice for. I swapped for a 145 25 stem and it made the bike great again. Everyone in my local club say they ride it because it makes everything to front easier, but at the same time hate it because it destroys their back... I don't really see th epoint in hurting yourself for so few advantages that are also not really proven. On my size M 26", I run an uncut forks steerer so my WAW stem is pretty high but it is a 145 mm stem and I ride 102 rise bars that are rolled a tad backwards. I certainly had to get used to it but I don't really see the point for it. Gilles shared the same feeling about it and rides a 135 mm long one on a size L frame. It's great for being on the rear wheel, but it's worse for everything else... I also don't feel any MAJOR difference for front wheel moves. Take all this with a pinch of salt, I am an average 33 years old expert rider ...

Loads of pro riders have been doing it for years. I have never felt the need for it but it works very well for those who do. This is a picture of Benito's pedals with some worn grip tape courtesy of Eirik Ulltang, on Bashguardian

You will notice he rides the Clean Kombo and the Crewkerz Waw stem also...
-
I agree. It's easy to remove if you choose to though!
-
Yeah that's some insane skills there!

A Dartmoor indeed! The pumptrack is 10 minutes from my house in Argonay, Haute Savoie. Here we have like 10 different pumptracks less than an hour drive away from house! Crazy!

That's an awesome weight!

The Crewkerz freewheel are the latest Try-All freewheels and so are the Clean's so they can indeed skip from time to time. The Trialtech ones are very good but on par with the Crewkerz and Clean ones so you can ride them without any worries.

The spline is a Shimano one but it's too long on any Crewkerz's freewheels because of the retaining ring placement. There may be a way to make it work but I don't know about it.

Saw that on Youtube but didn't bother watching it. Because you posted it, I did and that is amazing! Top bloke explaining reallly really well too!

As @La Bourde said, all your vids are a breath of fresh air and they really motivate me to ride. Thanks so much for the time you put into making them!

Could see some using my PC. Now to guess what dimension I should take...

Sorry for the bump. People on the forum have tried contacting you. Didn't have any success via email. I have tried sending you MPs but that was also unsuccessful. We would just like you to make vee brake adapters again so I thought trying to answer to something you posted could work?

Unfortunately I can't see any item from him.

These are super awesome. I need to source some raw material to try and make my own. HS33 suck big times whenever you're not riding on a clean rim, fresh grind and dry wether with no dust... Also please make a video about V-brakes!

Maybe you mentally were more prepared for that fall as you had already experienced it before. That could have helped you save more on that one.

Nearly the same tubes were used for both frames. So both are as "sensible".
-
Thanks that gives me hope!

Well, always loved your videos from the short edits riding your yellow Echo on the rocky beach to this one. That was an epic edit, and that pedal up was absolutely massive! May I ask how old you are now?
-
I remember these! Nice to watch them again! EDIT: Actually, some are new to me!

That's great to know. Thanks Adam, you made my day!

Thanks for this, I now understand what issue you meet. I have seen this in the past on these boards too. Yeah, now I understand you can't really do anything. I have one on my dirt jump bike so I hope I won't have any issue with it.

Is there any preventive maintenance we can do so this has less chance of happening? What exactly is the issue?
