  1. You've not read the rules mehewd, reported.
  2. I should hopefully be off next week so weather depending and if the kids are better I may take a trip over.
  3. Where are you hosting the pics now as all the ones from the first few pages I could see but now the works server is blockinh them! Can anyone save and attach the finished product for me so I can view it??
  4. Won't be getting him a trials bike yet as the cheapest kids bike they do is over £500! Though they do some pretty good kids bikes for round the £100 mark so I'd prefer to spend an extra £10-20 over a generic halfords kids bike and get something I know should be of a pretty good standard.
  5. Just a bit too far to drive that one!
  6. My son is due an upgrade from his balance bike and I was hoping to get him a monty but the problem is I don't want to just order one without him trying it first in case it's too big or too small. So, does anyone know anywhere where they have the bikes in stock so we can go and try one for size??
  7. Oh yeah forgot to add, in terms of freewheel if you can afford it go for the Echo SL, if not a Tensile is pretty good. I run one of each on my stock and my mod so can vouch for both!
  8. Before you change your stem I'd stick some risers on your bike of you've currently got flat bars. I'd recommend either tensile 9d, tryall rage or trialtech bars and go from there. Not sure on the levers as I've always run hydraulics but tyre pressures you want to be looking probably between 20-35psi, just give them a try and see what feels right whilst riding.
  9. Have you considered a Neon X ray? Thats about the right geo and cheap enough to splash out on some other parts as well!?
  10. Yeah that would be sick!
  11. I'm the same, everything looks great but the tyres actually look like they've been done on a computer. Although me not being an expert I can probably assume that trying to get the right texture for rubber is a pretty tough job
  12. It's said that all over christmas, think its set to show green between the opening hours. If you read here http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/news/christmas_opening_hours/u183.html it says they're shut today and reopen tomorrow.
  13. Not in today as it's bank holiday over here
  14. Is the wiki gonna get fixed and a link put on the forum main page?

    New Phone

Must admit the quality of camera on a phone has never really bothered me. Only really use it to take pics of my kids to send to grandparents or have as a screensaver, or pics of where I've been riding to refer to later on.
  16. Unless the LBS specifically deals with trials bikes I tend to avoid them to be honest.
  17. Just a standard ISIS BB by the sounds of it, have you measured the shell?
  18. If your using V's look out for either a shimano XTR booster or salsa carbon one, top class! And then get a grind and some TNN LGV's

    New Phone

Dont really need to as I get 30% off any contract at the moment with o2 and they're the only company I can get a signal with where I work so the only real choice!
  20. Mine does the same with my trialtech cranks, as does my because bashring on my stock. Never had a problem with either to be honest.
  21. I'm gonna knock up a poster with a quick explanation and pics of the difference so people see what the challenge about it all is. Not gonna be owt massive obviously but if I can raise even £100 for a local charity it's a bonus for them. Will be lookin for sponsors on here of course though!!
  22. Revolver your my hero, that site's fantastic! Just spent the past hour marking out the smaller of the 2 routes I'm considering and it turns out it's 10 miles all the way round, never seemed that long when I used to ride it years ago but it seems pretty respectable for a trail ride to be done on a mod. Just have to plan the other route now and see how that looks, though I reckon I'll do it at home as the network at work is SO slow!!
  23. I'm planning on doing a charity bike ride in the summer, not sure what charity I'll do it for, probably a local one, but before I confirm my plan I want to check how long the route is. So, can anyone direct me to maybe a program or website that will let me map out a cycle route so I can see how long it actually is? I've tried googling stuff but the only websites I can find only deal with roads so I can't plan the offroad sections and it would also help to be able to show people a map of the route I plan. Bearing in mind this won't be a massive coast to coast style ride, I just plan on doing a local trail on my mod with the gearing and lack of seat being the obvious challenge of the ride. Can anyone help??
