  1. Hilltop Hoods just get better and better.. 'Walking under the Stars' new album, get on it
  2. Buy pug if you want it to look and feel cheap, that being said I did get 50+ mpg from my old 106. An Alfa will breakdown, but you have a mechanic friend..
  3. EE wednesdays wouldn't work for me last wednesday, as apparently it's only for people on a 4GEE contract now.. That extra £9 could have paid for my petrol home! oh well
  4. I'm exam free, 2 years of work, 5 weeks filled with 12 exams and it's all over. I'm going to get drunk.
  5. Deffo this, if you don't say something then she might begin to think 'I'm spending all this time with Nathan/Zak/whatever and my boyfriend hasn't said anything..' Which implies that you don't care rather than you don't want to seem controlling and un-trusting. As we all know b*tches be crazy and she could react in a manner of different ways, but in the end you'll feel like a penis if you don't approach it and she mugs you off x
  6. The more prepared I am for an exam, the more it seems to f**k me. I hate maths.
  7. +1 for Aga toast! Revolutionary idea: If Aga made a toaster, like a mini hot-plate and the toasting mesh, I bet everyone would buy one.
  8. will measuring them help you determine which one is for you? Ride each of them and see which you prefer, it looks like you've already measured them.. Correct me if I've missed the point completely
  9. Loads of videos on how to do it, how much time have you got?
  10. Spent the day working on Core 3 maths, made progress, did paper, got grade
  11. Liked the riding in this, some nice techy stuff. Music didn't make me want to watch it at all however, I muted it and played something else and it was a good watch Just my opinion though, you don't have to read it.
  12. Nearly totalled the GTI and shunted a car full of school kids today, due to a minibus stopping in the middle of the road on a blind corner at the bottom of a hill. Thought about jumping to the other side of the road to go round if I didn't stop in time, but a tractor with a road level bucket on the front (of all things-seriously) was coming the other way. I was doing 45 on a 60 limit, before anyone says it Thank f**k I managed to stop within 12" of the back of the car, not sure if how I would cope if I hit them. Reasons why this is in the happy thread: because I didn't shunt the car of someone who used to help at the local scout group, and that I didn't decide to back-out and use the other side of the road and get killed, and that I didn't not spend money on decent tyres. This happened before my physics A2 exam, which actually went ok
  13. Somewhere in the south east would be good for me, could even do some riding too?!?!
  14. Why didn't the chicken cross the road? Because that would be a fowl proceeding.
  15. So, I just did an AS retake and f**ked it up catastrophically. Doing papers in preparation getting consistent A's, I'd be surprised if I scrape a C.. Can't see the point in A levels as this makes it almost certain I won't get the grades I need.
  16. That's the truth, it's shown to you in 144p so you can't see anything anyway! I got given some top advice for hazard perception, which was 'see a hazard-click, wait 2 seconds-click. If it's still going by this point, give that b*tch another click!'
  17. True, but you need to know the difference between someone standing on the pavement and someone who's chasing a football along the pavement and therefore likely to end up in the road. I think it does test your knowledge and how you perceive situations, granted some of them are probably a bit stupid.. but they want you to be too cautious than to cruise around not slowing down for anything
  18. God knows what she was doing in preparation for it, not revising I hope.. otherwise that's even more embarrassing. I won't be getting in her car any time soon! How do you think the hazard perception is flawed? I think it's possibly the only 'actual' testing in the theory.. the questions are just a short term memory game, like the stopping distances.
  19. This girl at work passed her theory a few weeks ago, 14th time lucky! How does that make you feel? Angry?
  20. Happens to the best of us mate, some d*ckhead in a Range Rover Evoque tried to run me off the road at a roundabout on my test, arms out the window, shouting/swearing at me followed me at about 12" off my bumper for the next half mile. The examiner took my side and I passed, but I still think the driving test is a game.. not respective of your driving ability at all. Keep going with it though, worth it at the end
  21. Just found something I can revise to without paying it too much attention, as background music, I really struggle working in silence but get distracted by noises- this seems to work. Hate on me if you have to, Wu-Tang Clan vs The Beatles
  22. I'll give you that, there's a reason my gti is parked on the road! This kid tried to turn around about 20 yards past my drive, which is steeper and has even less space (if that is possible) and rocks to stop you driving into the hedge/ killing VW Polos.
  23. Yeah, it's £60 once a year for partners, I used mine on Benicassim festival for this summer, making it a mere £65 for a ticket entitling me to camp for 6 days in spain and 3 days of music! Funnily enough I got my dominos delivered by a kid who camped with us at Reading 2012 last night (didn't recognise him till he left), who decided to park his car on top of some 12" high rocks along my front garden while doing the worst 3-point turn I've ever seen, and proceeded to burn out his entire clutch by trying to pull away in third?! We spent an hour jacking his car up to try and put bricks and ramps under it do get it out! And got free dominos too This made me happy because I didn't really have anything to do last night except eat pizza, and this guy turned up and provided me with an hours entertainment. As for drinking, I normally drink responsibly but the party that was on last night is probably still going...
  24. Unless he is entitled to double what everyone else is, it's £60 a year. Although that's not exactly bad! I'm happy because I'm having a quiet beer and a dominos, instead of going out and honing a hangover for tomorrow.
