  1. Nice, but my life definitely doesn't feel changed as a result
  2. remember the post I made? The question says it ends 0.1m above starting point and you put it in as 0.01, read your initial post again...
  3. The new live album by Meshuggah, currently on pravus
  4. try adjusting the number i suggested! your equation is wrong remember.
  5. Generally speaking you either fall with your nuts on the stem, or your arse on your back tyre the latter being the mostly comfortable screw seats! get padded pants instead if it matters so much ^^
  6. I'm also a member of a drum building forum, I signed up as M_Portnoy (My idol is mike portnoy) After a while, a poll went up as a joke as to wether I should change my name, then I had my name changed from M_Portnoy to: The unkown name (spelling mistake and all) Man Child Ice Neil of pearts Daves of weckl Thurman Peanuckle Jive (there we have it ) Corn Signature Boy (I was making a list of the name changes in my signature) Then eventually Prog Dog (long story) Peanuckle Jive got the most laughs, so now I use it everywhere
  7. I dunno much about stock bikes to be honest, have a look on tartybikes or ebay for 26" trials forks, might be something good and cheap
  8. you mean ARRR MATIES! It be time for a piratical!
  9. awesomesauce, hopefully that'll sort you out thing is, I bet they'll try to put you off by having an answer totally non-typical of a real bullet velocity
  10. I facepalmed so hard at that. I won't even begin to explain how stupid a suggestion it is >.< That question does sound a bit dumb, and very ambiguous it appears to me that it's saying "the block swings and when it stops, it's 10cm higher than when it started" but surely when it stops, it will be at the starting position (lowest point)? Or does it mean the highest point of the swing is 10cm? it's hard to tell. I'm afraid I can't help but i did notice the working you put on the end has a flaw in it the question says the block ends 0.10m above inital starting position, in your equation you've put the value in as 0.01m above, try adjusting that if you haven't already
  11. so basically, you recommend he keeps the chain, headset and brakes and that's about it? haha... You just starting out in trials or been riding before? if you're just starting out I really wouldn't bother with spending a load of money on a new bike when you can make this one perfectly usable and good enough for a beginner for not a lot more money A totally basic stock trials bike starts at about £300 if you're lucky When I started trials I did it on an old 24" apollo, I spent £25 on some onza cranks and about a tenner more on some better brake pads and that did me for ages, then when it started to fail me and fall apart I got myself a mod bike, 2nd hand and carried on
  12. ahhh, most of us start on something ghetto so it's all good If you like riding around a lot it's probably worth keeping the long post then as for gearing, I dunno much about stock (26" wheel) gearing, but a lot of cranks come with 22 tooth chainrings, I think 22 front and 18 rear is fairly typical but not too sure, somebody will probably correct me a lot of it is personal preference really though
  13. Lower the seat and if you wanna save a bit of weight, cut off any excess seat post tube, so you just have enough under the seat for the clamp to grip it V brakes are very popular these days so if you can get some good V brakes and set them up properly, they will do you for now Also lower gearing is ideal for trials, what gearing do you have on the saint cranks?
  14. That's never ever happened to me, ever Poor circulation in your hands?
  15. Definitely up for trying it with cider, should be good trying to think of other awesome mixes now >.<
  16. I'm fully aware the real incredible hulk is far more classy, but for students/ generally people my age and class, this is our version
  17. yeahhhh skittles vodka is goooood if you leave it long enough to properly mix If you wanna spend a few extra quid, get some fresh orange an a couple of big blue WKD bottles 2 shots (let's be honest, you may aswell use 4) of vodka in a pint glass, then a regular small bottle of blue wkd (if you're using a big bottle, just fill the pint glass about 2/3 full, then add fresh orange to the top bright green drink aptly named as the incredible hulk, pretty tasty, and very alcoholic
  18. grenadine is also good because it's heavier than vodka, so it sinks to bottom if you pour it against the side of the glass, that's how they do the sunrise in tequila sunrises and them groovy layered shots
  19. I did the questionairre granted, I didn't exactly do it properly.... ^^ This has to be some form of rule breaking, if not it's just plain ignorant so yer...
  20. I dunno much about the BB7, is it not powerful enough to make the crack worse, or so powerful it will definitely make it worse? can't understand skoze's edit reason Back in my day we used a hope mini and that was about all we had
  21. nice shade of blue sweet bike, not sure I'd trust a cracked disc mount for too long though
  22. really short bikes are a bitch to your back if you do a lot of backwheel moves (street riding) but are generally easier for doing 2 wheel moves seen a lot in street riding (small two wheeled hops along the crests of rocks etc) I can't remember the last time I saw anybody riding street on a short mod bike, pretty much everybody has long frames
  23. I'm finally making the move to long after a long time on a short monty From what I can gather: Long = street, Short = natural I ride street, so lots of backwheel stuff, where long frames are far more comfortable
