  2. He means the quality of trials rims, they're only held together with pins so are likely to come apart with more revolutions, and are not often completely true out of the factory. Mavic rims cost a lot because you're paying for a higher quality rim that will last longer. Trials rims live a short life due to being battered and ground constantly, so it's fine to have cheaper, shittier rims because they don't last more than a couple of years and don't do many revolutions.
  3. You used to be so for front V ali, what happened
  4. You two are such a sick duo! Really enjoy your videos after spotting you both at radfest. No helmet though derek bit scary also that stem on your 24 looks a little bit uncomfortable for you, but it clearly hasn't hindered your riding what tyre are you running? Good to see Goode has still got mad skills and getting better and better. Keep it up
  5. That's an onza pro, same geo but some different features. Non internal headtube and intergrated chain tensioners. £170 is a bit of bargs but if you can get it for £150 that would be a very good deal. I would ride that bike as it is, but would change to an ISIS crankset
  6. Avid levers are mean. I prefer the fr5 as I don't use the speed dial, some people swear by it though. But I prefer a solid brake. Avid also have that bend zone design so if you hit them they bend a fair bit before snapping, and bend back. They do rattle a bit but for £12 you can't complain. Way better to have a cable so they don't leak when you hit them really hard.
  7. Are you mate, who's going to build those wheels for you then
  8. BB7 with SD7 or FR5 lever, 160 or 185 Would be the only disc I'd run, or a saint

    18-13 on 24"?

Puts more stress on your chain and can cause easier snaps, I do like the look of the smaller cogs though.

I'm built like a stick as well and can gap pretty far(ish), it just feels a little uncomfortable riding distances with this ratio.
